I made this not long ago, but I think it should be spread around. The japanese have a "Don't Take Japanese Art" page, why can't we have one?

you even more now. ^.^ And I'm glad you said the same thing I did over at AntiTheft about how sometimes, the person doesn't even know they committed art theft, so don't go flaming them.

I still might think about turning that into a forum of sorts...but I need to learn about and acquire some serious PHP skills, of which I have zippo at the moment.
You go to a muesum to look at art, but you do not rip it off the wall and use it to make a pillow. You can go look at people's cars, but you are not allowed to drive off with them.
That's an excellent point; hopefully that will make people understand that whole "it's on the Net so it's free" crap is totally bullshit.

Good idea. Only one thing I have a question on, and maybe this isn't even related to the theft page since it's about art, but what about official art used for icons and such? Wouldn't that qualify as art theft and should/shouldn't it be included in an anti-theft page? (Just me and my random, overly thorough and active mind that kicks in from time to time . . . )
