My birthday is this coming Saturday, and I'm thinking I want Adobe Photoshop. But I've heard that Paint Shop Pro is better and easier. So now I'm confused. Paint Shop Pro, or Adobe Photoshop?
So, I wanted to ask what you people thought. What do you use? Which is better, in your opinion, to invest in? Because we all know these programs aren't cheap.
Please, let me know what you guys think.

I didn't like PSP when I used it... but of course, that's when I was like, 13... :-P
I fancy PS more... but it's really expensive O.o If you're a student you can get discounts on it.

I really like paint shop pro, it's where I make all of my icons. I think that Adobe is a little too complicated for me. Of course, all of them are quite expensive. So, if you're willing to pay $700....XP

i wouldnt say paint shop pro is better than photoshop but it's a hell alot easier, well the older version anyway D=

I never used PSP but I use PS X3 I gotta say it sure is a handy program, you gotta get used to it tho but you have that with all programs

well i have both adobe has alot more features that are useful for art would you like me to show you 2 examples of my artwork created in diffrent programs? i do believe adobe is better than jasc

I like Photoshop better. I tried using PSP and when i was drawing a line, all these options came up saying wat i wanted to do with the line. D=...very confusing....

why not buy openCanvas it cost 75 dollars. It's is much easier :). or get openCanvas 1.1. I have one and it is free :). So you get a tablet, then it'll be good :).
