If there's one thing that I really miss about doing traditional art is the tangibility of it, as opposed to digital art. Sure I do line art, but to me, there is nothing more satisfying than actually taking the time and painting with real paints, not digital ones. Where am I going with this? I don't really know, just letting my mind wander a bit. I've been so frustrated lately because I can't seem to actually DO any 'real' paintings. I kind of backed myself into a corner really, by focusing so much on all things mechanical. I just don't feel that they lend themselves well to watercolors (Although I have seen many wonderful paintings of them done by other artists with watercolors). I never like to whine, honestly, but this has been something that's been stuck in my craw so to speak. I'm hoping a weekend in the 'country' will give me a little breathing room and some inspiration... because I feel extremely burnt out.
