Ever since I did that Storch painting, the art just... hasn't been coming out right lately. I've been wanting to experiment with different media but alas, NO MONIES ;_; . The woes of being unemployed... and I don't think I'll be getting much birthday cash either. On the other hand, any cash that I do get will be put towards my new website, which will feature art of course, my Zoids collection, the random assortment of Gundams I have and whatever else winds up there.

I did get a painting done yesterday but it's kind of... rough. I really wish SA would create a scraps section, because I feel kind of guilty uploading my random brainfart paintings. But it did kind of give me an idea for something I want to use in my app... (But why are they all mechanical things?)

And... yeah... very bored right now.

Hi Natsy! :3

For the poor artist (like . . .me! Right now I'm using the art supplies I accumilated over my younger, safe-at-parent's-home years), you'd be surprised the variety of good cheap media you can find at different places. It depends on what you're willing to try. Experimentation is great stuff.

Try not to go to art-specific stores o_O; Since they cater to artists specifically and artists will probably think of an actual art-specific store before another, they like to inflate their prices!

Try a general store or even a dollar store and experiment with the different stuff you can find! Just a little example, I've worked with highlighters and I think I heard of someone else using white-out a lot, though I have yet to use it for anything myself. I know that amazing stuff can be done simply with crayola colored pencils and (watered-down or otherwise) white-out. Don't forget crayola paint, as well!

(Crayons, too. . .waxy, but you'd be surprised..)

Hehe, that's my problem. I seem to want to experiment with media that's expensive to buy (Like oil paints... oil pastels.) Normally when I'm just experimenting, I go with the cheaper stuff, like the stuff that comes in sets. If I decide I want to do something more serious with them, I'll go and buy a better quality set. But I'm like... DEAD broke right now . Darn these Zoid models, they are way too addictive.
