Graphire said, "I think I'm about to finally croak,
I need a quiet place to choke.
Maybe you should stop drawing with elements 3.
Baby, this shit's way too complicated for me."
So, I backed up what was left of my files,
And I whipped out my credit card,
And I browsed through all of Amazon's piles,
And what I did next wasn't so hard...
I, um...
I got a brand new tablet.
I went and jumped off the deep end,
Impulse bought last weekend,
Spent the whole day sittin' on my chair
Lookin' at my new elements 6 right there,
Playin' insert-layer, copy-paste,
Drawin' mooshy-mooshy internet waste
Man, this bamboo's on to somethin',
Ya know I feel like I can draw again.
I bought a brand new tablet.
That's right folks. I now have a Bamboo Fun!

Yay for upgrades!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to everyone!
Also: I've been seeing some complaints about what I decided to feature this week. I'm glad that a lot of you are interested in seeing literature in the featured gallery since it appears that it is a dying art on this website. If anyone knows of a particular written submission, or a user that deserves to be promoted.... PLEASE send me a recommendation. I only know of a handful writers on this website and a great deal of them have already been featured. I also want to give others a chance so, by all means, send me those recommendations. I'd love to hear your opinions. :)

I got scammed out of my DS on Amazon, therefore losing 150 bucks and a good gaming platform. Commissions are open so please help out :(
Seriously? People are complaining? Did they even take a second to think of how the author feels? If that doesn't make you not want to post anymore, I don't know what does.
Lilac Wood Says:
Enter the rambly rant...
I wonder sometimes if people think too much about what's feature-able and what's not, or if their work is "better" than the feature, writing or otherwise.
I've worked as a college writing consultant for two years, and the different essays that people bring in at all levels have a shine to them. I never once thought that the writer I was working with was "unworthy." Often, I worked with people at pre-college levels--it's a community college, so we've got all sorts. Many of the writers I worked with spoke English as a second (or third or fourth) language and had grammar and clarity issues.
Their writing still moved me, even in its rough form, and I would often find myself sharing some highlight of an essay with a coworker because it moved me that much. My coworkers would do the same. One even started to ask the writers she worked with if she could photocopy essays that moved her.
It's been my job to see the light in writing and then help the writer improve as a whole writer. I've loved it so much because I get to be the one who sits with them for a half an hour or an hour, sometimes more over the course of weeks, and I get to tell them how their voice is one worth sharing and how their writing does have merit, even if they've felt up to that point like they'll never be able to write well enough to pass the class.
Anyway, to keep from getting way too rambly and get to the point, a feature to me isn't about being "better" but about moving the person who chose to feature it and/or the person who recommended it. Any time I look at the features, at the very least I see why someone was moved by the piece, even if it doesn't touch me in the same way. If it moves someone, it's exceptional in the way that it creates a human connection.
