a few questions for those among you who have even just once in the past shipped out traditional artworks to places around the world!

what media was the piece? how large was it? what did you do to ensure that it wouldn't smudge/bend/tear/otherwise lose quality during shipping?

I'm uh, well, cheap so I generally just write "DO NOT BEND" on everything (I've done 9x12 and 11x14 pieces), but I would recommend including a piece of cardboard if you really want to. It just ups the price from the added weight.

Most mine were watercolor\inks, A4 sheets. I would wrap & tape them shut in nylon and will stuff them in the envelope with cardboard.
