After we had our Thanksgiving dinner with our friends the Harbucks at their house, we planned on going to Fredericksburg to look around. We were hoping to bring some of our friends and my sister and her husband Harvey(who's never been to Fredericksburg). But most of them couldn't come, so we ended up taking uncle Ted and Aunt Alice, my dads boss Bob and his wife Susan. Ours friends from my parents were supposed to come, Bob and Trisha, but they changed their mind because their son was supposed to be in town. Bruce and Juanita Harbuck were also supposed to come, but Juanita's mother was there and they didn't want to take her since she wants to go everywhere with them. My sister Amber and her husband Harvey were also suppose to go but change their minds because when they dropped their 2 daughters at my oldest brothers house for only ten minutes so Amber could get some make-up Grandpas' she got a call from them because the girls were screaming and crying. So they just decided not to go. So all who ended up going were me, mom, dad, uncle Ted and Aunt Alice, Juanitas' niece Kathey and Sharon, and my dads boss Bob and his wife Susan.

We left early in the morning about 5 in the morning and drove for about 5 and half hours from around Abilene to Fredericksburg. Along the way we lost Kathy and Sharon, who were supposed to be following us, and waited for them in Paint Rock and Eden for about a half hour or more. It turns out they were going through Coleman and we would meet up with them when we got to Fredericksburg have lunch. First thing we did was go to the fair grounds where they had an indoor flea market with all sorts of arts and crafts. Then we went back into town to find a parking place and went shopping. Fredericksburg is mostly German and they had a lot of restaraunts that served German cuisine and stores that sold German merchandise. We got to watch candle makers making these really neat mult-colored candles that looked like they had ribbons on them. We looked in a Christmas shop and some other stores. I bought a jar of Dewberry Jelly from a place called Rustlin' Bobs, which sold lots of jellies, vinegars, salsa, mustard, preserves and pickled stuff. Before we left we ate at this restaraunt called Catfish Haven. I had fish filets and frog legs. It was the first time I ever had frog legs; and I liked them. Then we got back home at about 10:30 p.m.
