Summer is approaching swiftly. I can tell when I go outside from the feel of the air and the smell of the plants. I can't really describe how the air feels - crackly perhaps.

It was humid all yesterday, and we were treated to a nice heavy shower of rain this morning. I hope it rains more. We're technically supposed to be in stage 4 water restrictions right now because of the drought, but some politician decided that stage 4 restrictions endangers too many jobs.

I've noticed I don't seem to have any summer clothes. I'm not a very summer person. I hate the heat. I spend all my time in the bathroom sitting on the tiles because it's cold in there (we don't have air conditioning). I digress; I need to get some summer clothes.

All the clothing stores nearby are too trendy for my tastes. And the ones with clothing more suited to my tastes are too expensive. Instead of buying new, I now shop at op-shops for clothes. I seem to find far more interesting things in op-shops, and I can tell people I shop there because I'm environmentally conscious.

I am, but that's beside the point.

I saw a pretty dress in the window of the Red Cross op-shop. I doubt it will fit me, it looked very big. I'd like to try it on anyway, but I always seem to walk past when they're closed.

There's always tomorrow of course.
