Whelp, I pre-ordered Left 4 Dead 2, as I type this I cannot wait to play the demo as it is currently downloading. I decided that I shall go back in time to give my exposition on Left 4 Dead.

When I first heard of left 4 Dead I didn't look into it to much. All I knew was that Valve (to which I am unashamed to label myself as a whore for their products) was coming out with new Zombie Survival game. I thought "That's cool, to bad it will take them a shit load of time to develop." So I didn't pay much attention. Then as I was chatting with some of my friends the subject came up, and he explained to us all what valve had planned. When I found out it was a 4 Player Online Co-op game, I was ecstatic. Then from that moment on, I counted down the days to when it would be released (not literally, but I was enthusiastically waiting for it) so that I could partake in taking the Shotgun to face of a Zombie and blow the brain eaters head clear off.

I did not have the money to preorder it, so I waited, waited, and waited. Till my coffers filled with money so that I could finally partake in such merriment as I already described. I contacted three friends who also had it, and we partook in running No Mercy, getting slaughtered by hordes of Zombies. It was a glorious digital bloodbath. I continued to enjoy the game, and was pleased when Valve announced that they would be adding content to it. Then of course, all who know of L4D2's infamous announcement at this years E3. Then everyone in the fan base was screaming at Valve, calling them liers and cheats, I myself wasn't on that boat, I rode with the others who didn't care, we were pleased to see a sequel, and whatever challenges it held for us. Now, finally, we can see just what this game has in store for us, and what horrific horrors await us.

Though you must be wondering, did I really feel cheated? Maybe a bit, all I bought was a 50 Dollar Beta, but you know what I think it was worth it. Seeing as Valve said they had no idea how well this game was going to sell. I thank Valve for Left 4 Dead, and its glorious Zombie killing.

tl;dr: Left 4 Dead was great, Left 4 Dead 2 will be even more Awesome, the boycott was a bunch of faggots who failed, and they should feel sorry. I also can't wait for the L4D Campaign Dead before Dawn.

PS: Clown Infected, I will punch you in the face to hear your nose HONK.

Sorry to say it but I was fairly, fairly disappointed in L4D. There's a grand total of... five(?) guns? Infinite ammo. So many enemy's shooting at any particular one doesn't make a difference. Infinite ammo. And a grand total of 4 (gasp.) special monsters, which they use, stage after stage after stage.

Even the Witch didn't have me jizzing my pants. Every time you see a witch, just walk past the fucker and she's out of sight, out of mind.

The games really, really simple.
Just "BLAAAAHH" jam your mouse button, boot zombie off of friend, BLAAAHHHH jam mouse button, run, grab amazingly surplus amount of ammo and health kits which keeps you from ever feeling any sense of survival or horror, run, BLAAAAHHH Jam mouse button, end of level. Repeat.

The only points I award L4D is "Most hardware required" award, "Most AI Bots on the screen at once" award, "Most overflowing crates of ammo available in a 'horror' game" award and "Least inventive Weapon Selection evar" award.

The only game I'll gripe more about is Halo. But thats a digression.
