It's not a bombing you retards.
Scientists want to know the particulate composition of the moon.
Nothing wrong with that.
We really shouldn't judge people and call them stupid just because they want to know if water is present on the moon.
The media acts like this has never happened before.
Nasa has used this method several times before on other planets and moons.
Why are people freaking out?
Do they honestly think Nasa is going to blow up the moon?

LOOK AT THE CRATERS.
IT'S BEEN HIT WITH THINGS WAY WORSE THAN THIS.

I hate the freaking media.
They're turning every advancement in science into a bad thing because they don't understand its importance.
Once again, the media worships the motif of: "HUMANS ARE HORRIBLE. WE SHOULD HATE OURSELVES, BAAAAAH!"

There isn't a serial killer or terrorist available for the media to hate on so they turn on Nasa because they aren't smart enough to understand the science behind ANYTHING now a days.

The media, once again, leans on the crutch of: "IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND IT, BE AFRAID OF IT AND HATE IT!"

*sigh*

Whatever.

Kwijiboenator Says:

News media works on the basis that there is no news like bad news, and goes nuts with sensationalism.

I think a massive parody is in order - infact it's been waiting for one for a very long time.

Storm of the East Says:

I even watched the "bombing" this morning. Nothing super signifigant about it. You could barely see the crash too.

Kiwi Joy Says:

The media fails. Let's face it, most stories in the newspaper are nothing incredible in reality. They just turn everything into a show.

I'm a scientist myself, and personally I think that one day science will go too far in attempts to explain life itself. This, however, is far from that. It's a completely normal experiment.

Thanael Says:

I think it's hillarious, but then, I'm a horrible person. I used the test to persuade someone that nasa blew up the moon completely. They went outside to look... and couldn't find the moon.

Pure gold.
