ALIVE!

... to PONYO!

I saw Ponyo tonight and I freaking LOVED it.
I haven't been this brimming with happiness in a LONG time. :3
I was smiling through the entire movie. And it wasn't just smiling- it was genuine delight.
At first, I had my doubts about the movie. The commercials were kinda lame and of course the big fat Disney logo stamped all over it scared me. But then I looked at the ratings...

Four Stars?

Holy crap, there hasn't been an animated film this highly rated in a long time.
So tonight, I drove my sister and myself to so Ponyo. It was actually HARD to find a theatre that was playing it. Hollywood didn't have it, Carmike didn't have it, but Cinemark did so we set off around 6:45 PM and drove to the theatre.

From start to finish, I was blown away. The animation was AMAZING and the colours were... were... So many.
Studio Ghibli did a wonderful job and what surprised me were the end credits. They had an astonishingly small team. It was nice compared to the fifteen minutes of Hollywood films.
