I have just been diagnosed with dissociative fugue.
"Dissociative fugue usually involves unplanned travel or wandering, and is sometimes accompanied by the establishment of a new identity. After recovery from fugue, previous memories usually return intact, however there is complete amnesia for the fugue episode."
Was working yesterday at the Home Depot. I had my sales clipboard in my left hand and was walking around looking for people to bug about carpet cleaning when I looked down at my watch and noted the time to be 3:10 PM. It was time for me to go home, so I started walking up to the services desk to fax in my rep sheet and leads so I could get outta there. But when I got there, my clip board was gone and my watch said, 3:30 PM. This really freaked me out. I had no clue where my clipboard had gone and I can't leave without it, I also had no memory of the twenty minutes that slipped by. So I started looking for my clipboard. It took me another thirty minutes to find my clipboard; it was stashed under a display and hidden by a price tag. The only thing that gave it away was the mini sharpie I hang from the metal part of the clipboard. You know that feeling you get when you're looking for something? You can't remember where you put it for the life of you, but when you find it, everything comes back and it leaves you in a state of, "Oh yeah! How could I have not remembered!" Well, this was different. I was more in a state of, "... What the hell? I did NOT do that."
I checked out at 4:00 PM and I still don't know how I lost twenty minutes and my clipboard. Been working too much... >__< Stressssed out and college crap needs to get sorted out.
Kiwi Joy Says:
That's freaky... and potentially quite dangerous ._.
Stress does some seriously crappy stuff.
Bloodhound Says:
Hey I agree with Kiwi Joy. This could be dangerous for you. I'd suggest relax for sometime, you know don't think of work for a while. Maybe 1 or 2 days off.
Hope you feel better soon man. Take care.
