Bella and I participated in their 4H group's competition last week and I thought you might like to know the results:



In obedience they scored 198.5 (first score/place) out of a possible 200.
In showmanship they scored a 97 (3ed score/place. the other 2 girls that bet us, we were all 1 point of one another. 97(me) 98(Beth) 99 (Hailey)) out of a possible 100.

We won the following:

* Blue ribbon for showmanship
* 1st place blue ribbon for obedience in their group/level
* Championship ribbon for obedience for their level (highest score of all the participants)
* Championship ribbon "High In Trial" for Obedience for their level (highest score of all the participants)
* Grand Champion ribbon for obedience (highest score for their level)
* Grand Champion ribbon for overall highest score of all the participants showmanship and obedience scores combined
* MEDAL- for overall highest score of all the participants showmanship and obedience scores combined
* MEDAL- Obedience High In Trial

Needless to say, we were awesome! And, they are going to State Fair Aug. 28th so stay tuned for more results. :)

Hey everyone!

Bella and I participated in 2 4H events today -- rally and team. For those who aren't familiar with rally, it's basically a timed obedience competition where you follow specific instructions on signs. I think of it as an obedience obstacle course you work with your dog.

The "team" competition was made up of groups of 4 kids (chosen randomly) and their dogs. A judge called out patterns and they had to do everything in sync. Keep in mind that although the kids and dogs were familiar with one another, they've never worked together as a team.

The results?

On the team competition: Out of a possible score of 800, 4 of the 5 teams scored in the 630-645 range. My team scored a 789! (the team was comprised of Emily (Me), Sara, Clarissa, and Brittney) They won the Grand Champion/High in Trial award. Great job, girls!

In rally Bella and I scored a 99 out of a possible 100 points. They won a blue ribbon for that as well as Champion for their competition level. They also scored the highest score of everyone there and won a championship ribbon for that as well.

The judge was praising Bella and I up one side and down another and even had them give a demonstration to everyone who was there because they did so well. It was really exciting and Jim and I are SO proud. They've worked really hard and it's paying off.
