This morning, "Savage Huskies" has officially died.
Somehow something has messed the engine up so badly, that, nothing works anymore.
The engine is now crippled. I don't know how long I'll need to fix it, or if I can - one thing is for certain - SH is near death. The enemies spaz around aimlessly, the depth swapping no longer works, it's a cluster fu(k.
I was too caught up with this turning out to be my greatest work, only in the end to be smacked in the face by that which I have feared from the start.
I'll spend this week trying to salvage what's left. Don't expect anything more, though.
What gets me is that I spent a year working on this with the utmost confident that it'll turn out great, only to face a dead end near the game's completion.

Holy fuck... that's terrible.
And you gave so much effort into it...
Foxcat Says:
This happens an awful lot. I hope you saved backups.
That said, you have all the sprites, backgrounds and other work, it's simply a matter of picking up the pieces and trying again. It's often said that it's easier to throw the code away and start anew. If you can figure out what went wrong where and why, you can be prepared for next time if not avoid it altogether.
I know the feeling well, my condolences.

WHY ARE YOU NOT ALLOWED TO BE GREAT
*like a million sad faces go here*

Gib einfach nicht auf!

Was hilft es, es jetzt einfach hinzuschmeiĆen
Du bist ein guter Game designer, du schaffst das schon!
