Alright, so recently, I came across a japanese exclusive transformers cartoon series called Transformers: Super-God Masterforce. The idea behind this series was mainly about Transformers known as the pretenders that could transform into organic beings. That gimmick became rather pointless rather quickly as the main focus then went on to humans that can transform into heads and engines of the bodies of transformers, eventually turning into an early attempted of the power rangers.

Seeing as the anime never had an english dub (that I know of, anyway!) I thought it would be fun to rewrite the script (so that it would make more sense to the english audience. Takara really fucked up the transformers good btw) and create an English version.if your interested in taking part, then here are the roles:

Q and A's

Will Optimus Prime be in the show?

Yes and no. He does but he was given a stupid name called Ginrai. In this Dubbed version. The Human is called Convoy but when he forms with the body of optimus prime, he becomes optimus prime. Voice change and all (hopefully). Basically the idea is that Optimus Prime will return but as an empty corpse....kinda. the legend reborn.


When is the show based in the timeline?

The anime is apparently based on a previous japanese exclusive series called Transformers: HeadMasters. That series was a cruel act of revenge when they were never given the final season of the american cartoon. Headmasters was just depressingly terrible in not only in continuity fuck-ups but they were really cruel to the heroes. They killed off Optimus Prime (Ironic because the series was based on a year after he was brought back to life!) Ultra Magnus and eventually Galvatron. Destroyed Cybertron and also felt that Mars had to go as well. Rodimus Prime, Kup and Blurr decided to leave the galaxy after cybertron was destroyed. Around the same time of killing off Optimus Prime, SoundWave and Blaster killed each other.....only to be brought back with different names and different colour schemes which was just stupid. Worst of all, Headmasters thought it would be such a good idea for Daniel and Wheelie to be the young protagonists. two of the least likeable characters ever leading this shit-fest of a terrible show. I sat through almost 16 hours of this bullshit back in 2007 and I'll never want to again.

Unlike the american version which was only over an hour long, fun and enjoyable. concluding the transformers series once and for all with a small feeling tat you'll treasure until you grew out of it. The japanese version was an utter depression that left you with a disgusting taste in your mouth.

Incidently, Masterforce is based a decade where Headmasters left off. The Autobot left earth to fight the decepticons deep in space. Earth is finally at piece from war. But unknown to the human race, the autobot pretenders are living with them piece while the decepticon demons are sealed away in the corners of the planet. Until now....

If you personally think this is bad, why are you bothering?

Why? 3 reasons.
1. I'm a Transformer Generation 1 fanboy.

2. Since the anime never had an english voice acting cast, I feel that it would be a good opportunity for voice actors to make their mark or at least have something that they said they done for the sake of experience. Regardless that the anime isnt all that good, it would be still fun to do. (then again, it still involves robots beating the shit out of each other, what more do you want?)

3. During my long trip back from Texas, I did alot of thinking. One of those things is to not say I'll do something and not bother. I've been doing that for too long now and I think this is something I feel that I should attempt. I never liked the idea of saying I'll do something and not fulfill my end and it really sucks when it happens.

Would you get into trouble by Hasbro/ Takara for doing this?

Probably... but hey, who cares. its all for the sake of entertainment. lets have fun! I think it would be a fun thing to do during the summer while we wait to return to our schools/ collages/ work.
