Man, making the latest Inhuman theme was awesome. Every song I've made using the guitars up to date has been fun, but always extremely effort intensive. Quad tracking you see, means I play every part four times. Adding the smallest new part, or having to rework certain parts, gets old fast. Not to mention getting the guitars to sound good is a fight all on its own.
Not with this song. Start to finish the entire thing was made with super efficiency. I knew almost everything I was doing before I did it, which is different for me ;p
I also went way harder core on making the drums than I have as of late. Almost like how I used to in the old old old songs.
It's fitting that it would be an Inhuman theme. Every time I ever made a version of that theme it always was at some point that defines a culmination of skills or know how that I'd recently acquired. This one was real instrumentation, the last one was the East West orchestral sample set, the one before that was fake guitar creation, and the one before that was just mastering FL in general.
Start to finish this song made itself. It was almost like I was barely involved. Very little mastering had to happen once I laid down the main tracks, it sounded this awesome almost on impact. In fact when I tried to do the normal things I do to master drums and guitars etc it sounded worse.
I just let it alone and let the music do what it wanted. And god damn it's badass.

Mastering is the least important part. It should sound perfect before, and mastering just makes it louder.
