I have a new AIM name now for whenever I use it. I haven't transferred any old buddies over from my old name, so feel free to drop a line at
PyroMeiniac if you want to bug me when I'm on AIM.
Also, any of the people I bug on here have a LiveJournal? I only ask because I need people to bug and friend on mine. <:
On another note, it's weird watching old cartoons on YouTube that I watched when I was a kid, and realizing how the jokes they used in it would never slide today. Like the old Animaniacs cartoon
Hot, Bothered and Bedeviled. Old jokes series like that, Freakazoid and what not would never fly today, and that's really depressing to realize. Just how stupid are we today?
... it feels weird talking that way. I feel old.

I remember all those old things. xD Freakazoid was the best! The intro song always cracked me up, and the entire show was filled with ridiculous junk.
I also saw things like Quest for Camelot, The Secret of Dark Water (early 90's cartoon), Rainbow Brite, and...um...some of those strange live-action sentai shows. You know, "The Masked Rider" and Beetleborgs and the quintessential Power Rangers... Half of the episodes of all those shows had at least some little thing that would be ripped out of today's cartoons. I didn't really find anything wrong with it being left in there... :\ It made the shows funneh.
We need a cartoon revival! This stuff that's fed to us these days--Ed, Edd & Eddy, Camp Lazlo, and a bunch of others that are just NOT funny--are just painful to watch. But, it's not...life-threatening. :\ Just kinda makes you go "wtf", right?

You are old.

But saying that doesn't do much for me either...
It's an inevitability. As times change, so to do the things that are "hip" with the kids. It's also a factor of the environment they grew up in though. My sister, for example, has tastes similar to mine, while my brother has tastes more common with his age group. This is mostly because my sister hung out with me and my friends more in her preadolescence stage than my brother did.
So while majority won't relate, you'll find the occasional kid who had a bit of "culture" growing up.
