XboX 360
Well, pretty much all of you who watched Microsoft's E3 conference yesterday heard of the Project Natal by now that's coming for XboX 360. Looks nifty, but what really got me interested was Metal Gear Solid Rising. Not to mention it was awesome to see some Alan Wake gameplay, because to my knowledge it's made by the same guys as who did Max Payne. This meaning it's a Finnish game.
But because of the conference, I really want to get XboX 360 now. Not for the Natal, but for some of the games that were announced yesterday and of course the games I have missed so far for it.
But thing is, should I get Premium or Elite model?
I have very little expierence with XboXes, particurally with 360 models.
Just that I probably won't need a huge harddrive, but I wouldn't like to get a Red Ring of Death. Which of the models is better to get if I want to avoid RRoD?
Alone Elite model is about hundred euros more expensive than Premium where I live.
Thoughts on Project Natal
I think there are three different outcomes to the idea of Project Natal.
A) It revolutionizes nothing
Remember the hype for Wii, guys? That how it was supposed to revolutionize gaming to another level? But what happend? The motion controls became a gimmick instead and not properly executed in most games. So what if this passes aswell and no one gives a crap when it comes out? Meaning sure, some games will most likely need it but they aren't as good as the games with the "traditional" XboX 360 controls.
B) Gaming splits in two
In this outcome the gaming would split in two. Leaving it that some enjoy playing games with motion controls while others just keep their controllers. Meaning that game developers will have two points of focus in gaming. Might also cause unnecessary wars between so called "casuals" and "hardcores", which is pathetic.
C) It fails
Who knows? This is an option too. It might be that there won't be enough third-party supporters for the Natal, customers do not buy it or it has something that causes it technical aspects to fail. XboX 360 came out with RRoD, what if something like that happens now? I have my doubts, because in my opinion the tests they showed worked way too perfectly for something that comes from Microsoft.
Summerwork
Summerwork, yeah. I work as a sort of mix of a construction site worker and gardener. I'm working in a group that is building a park in quite the middle of the closest city to me. Boring work, but pay is good. 14,2 euros per hour currently (pay depends on what do I do each day) and I work 8 hours a day. I applied for the whole June.
Will get a new computer with the payment plus save up for XboX most likely.
The Gate To Gondelia DEMO progress
I have been working on the game I released early demo for sometime ago. I have currently added the following features:
-Expierence and leveling up system
-Added more attributes
-Added the possibility to engage battle from overworld
-Overworld enemy AI partly done
To be added:
-Possiblity to change battle skills (meaning more skills to be added)
-Overworld menu with saving feature (saving works only at save points)
-Leveling up system for battle skills
-A talkable NPC
I will release ONE more demo before I start looking for beta testers and keep the game away from public.

Sadly, I did not catch the E3 conference... especially seeing how I am usually on top of Microsoft material.
but about the Xbox360's.
You should get the Elite. Though you'll get the red ring of death eventually... the Elite has shown to be stable, and compaired to the premium, you get alot more memory.
The red ring of death only happens if you play hours on end. it messes with the core CPU... because heat expands molecules and the cool air will well.. contract them. Simply put- the result will crack the cpu.
but if ya dont play more than 4hours + every day, the xbox should last you up at LEAST 5 years. thats if your half careless.
Last note: Make sure you have your Xbox360 standing up. If not, all your games will get scratched up. and I mean BAD.

As far as the Xbox is consirned i'd go for the cheaper of the two as far as the money stand point and the lack of major difference. However as far as game play would go I'd go for what feels best.
So there! As well, that sounds extremely awesome and I would love to help by testing it for you sense I have no life and have lots of free time. (In other words I've put my heavy work load on the side for a good friend like you and would be honored to help)
Summer work wise, you gardening I'll admit I find it an interesting mind image- I see that as somewhat..country boyish All I recommend is placing suntan prevention lotion (sun screen) on your neck and a lot of it and on your for-arm (behind your upper arms to avoid farmers tan). Also a hat. I'd recommend doing some solder stretches between swatting on the ground planting and lifting stuff. Just as advice as a friend. That's not as easy work as it sounds, very boring I'd admit but hard work if you really get into it.
The getting a new computer thing sounds like a really good idea. Maybe I'll see you online more often. That would be nice I hardly see you online anymore, because of how your school took up your time before. We use to talk a lot in the past, I miss that I admit. *looks to side for continuance on thought* Anyway well I know you'll do a good job at work. You seem diligent. *scratches head* Sing while working that always good for keeping ... from going totally bored. Maybe you can write a song for me and sing it to me when I visit. *nudge-teasing for fun.* Kidding kidding. heehee.
All i can say for the game is- I BETTER be a Beta tester or your going to be bopped on the head IRL when I get there.
Call me sometime (or text me) I've got service and texting to Su(Fi) so please contact me sometime. You know my number or should by now. As well I'd like to talk to you in private out of eyes of SA sometime. Good luck with all that you want to do, I wish you well on your endeavors.

The real difference with the Xbox 360 Elite and Premium is that Elite has 40 gigs more space than a Premium has; and it's black.
Newer models of Premium sold without a bundle has the HDMI cable incorporated as well and it's also lesser of a chance that it gets RROD than it usually does. You can check Wiki for the differences between models.
I say Elite is only really necessary if you're gonna get alot of movies and install games on your HDD.

I say get the Elite, I have heard a lot of good stuff about it. Just the fact that you already have a Wii and now getting a Xbox, is out of my world.
Anyway, about the Elite, you get 2 kick-ass games with it (in Estonia you do) and it has more gigs of space and it should be fun then. The RROD situation is same for both-
IF you're worried only about RROD, then I suggest just get the Premium, because it costs less.
You choose the one you want.
The Gates To Gondelia is pretty smokin' Really, really waiting to play it.
Overall, very cool and looong update, it was nice to read.
Thank you for filling my boredom. 8D

Well, it depends on if you would want to be able to reverse play regular xbox games as well and what kind of memory you want, if you can afford it I would go with the elite, you get reverse playability, xbox gold right off the bat, and if I remember right a headset as well as a bunch more memory.
I got the standard arcade for christmas and after updates and patches I only had 72 Megabytes of memory left and downloadable content like a game patch can require more than that.
Also new Metal Gear is win. Just plain win.
Also I wanna be a beta tester when you need one!
