Mood

Well, I have only one week left of school. I have all my final exams next week and I've been extremly busy with all the last assignments for classes. Being on a two week leave, my updates really piled up, I had over 900 updates and several inbox messages as well. I replied to the inbox messages, and simply nuked all the updates...I don't really have the time nor the attention span to go through all of those updates.

Well, I've made my decission. After 5 wonderful years of being on SheezyArt, I will officially be taking my leave. In about 1 month's time, my entire gallery will be taken down, and all of my journal entries will be deleted here. I'm actually not too happy about leaving SA, as it has been my art home for so long, but I feel that leaving is what it has come to. Here's why-

SA has become overrun with 12 year old Sonic and Naruto fan people that draw nothing but poorly done carbon copies of copyrighted characters. This is not supposed to be a fan site, this is an ARTIST community. And I just don't find art or creativity in seeing a colored over Sonic picture and the person that did it saying that it's an "original character". And, unfortunatly, it's this kind of garbage that is making the front page and getting all of the feed back. The art that real artists put a lot of time and thought into is often looked over for this fan art trash. However, don't get me wrong, I've seen some good fan art, but the good fan art ALWAYS has an original twist on it in some way or another. You know what I mean?

Art is about taking your time to create something that is unique, beautiful, and a reflection of one's self. I just feel like that kind of art, REAL art, has slowly dicintigrated here over time, and is slowly being rooted out.

It seems like it's pointless for me to be here now, one because I don't get the feedback that I need to grow better with my art anymore, because my art is passed by now by the masses. And two, I used to love looking at others' art for inspiration...I'm having a harder and harder time finding art here that really inspires me anymore. So, for now, I've moved to DeviantArt. As far as other things go, I will not be posting any more art here, and I will only be posting one final journal once everything has been taken down. I've been uploading to DA...and if you have a trade or commission that's due from me, I will send you the link in a personal message so you can get your image if you decide not to watch me over at DA.

The taxidermy stuff has been going well, I have made much progress on my Dingo, Arctic Fox, and Wolverine-there are WIP images posted on DA. And I've also got some new things/new things coming in the mail.

I just got 3 Raccoons for plush making last week, all three are already spoken for.

I got a Pearled Cross Fox, a very rare mutation color of the cross fox.

Next week, shipping out my way will be a 5 foot Black Bear, and an extremly rare pelt-a Black Backed Jackal.
