Since Chippy tagged me, I might as well do this. Now regardless that I'm mostly looking for a career in animation, most of my inspiration comes from comic artists and illustrators.

Your are a: Animator and Illustrator

Your top 5 favorite artist/musicians/writer who inspire your style or passion:

1. Richard Elson (Sonic The Comic)

2. Jim Lee (Batman And Robin The Boy Wonder)

3. Humberto Ramos (Civil War: Wolverine)

4. Masayuki Taguchi (Battle Royale)

5. Tracy Yardley (Sonic The Hedgehog and Sonic Universe)

A selection of their particular work that left an impression on you:

1.

I grew up with sonic the comic so obviously, I would know of Richard Elson's early amazing work to create sonic's world. Richard Elson was involved in most of the major storylines such as the Final Victory, Robotnick Reigns Supreme and of course, the Sonic Adventure adaption (I forget the name of that saga). Some people may notice that when I draw Knuckles with a necklace instead of a tick body fur on his torso, its simply because I got it from him. back in the day the internet wasn't there so getting reference was pretty scarce, so when knuckles was shown to the artists, Richard Assumed that it was a necklace. Richard's sonic work was always fun to look at, the way sonic always looked like he was in a bad mood, how tails always looked innocent and even knuckles and how always looked pissed. surprisingly enough, Richard Elson has no interest in sonic at all, if anything, he's actually more of a Mario fanboy. During an interview with STC-O, Richard was wanting to get involved with a Mario Comic but of course, it never happened.

a non-sonic Richard Elson....I really need to look out for his work more :'C

Admittingly, I only discovered Jim Lee when I picked up the graphic novel of Batman And Robin The Boy Wander. The anatomy of the characters seems close to perfect. the characters he draw are sexy as hell, even the guys to the point where I should really be worried. Really, there's nothing else to say other than I want his skills and the usual fanboy crap. Really, all this guy has done to inspire me is to make me work harder on my anatomy and realistic styles.

Humberto Ramos in Marvel is like Mick McMahon is to STC. But unlike McMahon, Humberto's art style is something I actually like. granted the anatomy is a little over the top but that's what makes it fun when reading his stuff. casing point, Wolverine during the civil war. After looking at Wolverine during that saga, Humberto is perfect for drawing Wolverine, with the way he makes those human characters make those over the top expressions. his stuff is simply fun and something I really want to develop.

oh noes, its a manga! but not just any manga, its battle royale. Battle Royale was a story based on an alternate world where Japan was controlled by right wing nuts and the best way to get their jollies is to force school children to kill each other in an island for 3 days. seeing as this comic will be aimed at adults, they might as well go all the way with the mind of Masayuka. this guy has decency but he sure as hell isn't shy when it comes to drawing gore and guts, dick riddled in razors, kid's guts flying out or even a sex scene. There is no room for suger coating and thats why I love this guy. Call me a sick fuck but having the balls to draw stuff like this and make it feel subtle, that's fucking epic. Sure, there "The Boys" but Masayuka beat them to it when it comes to the sick stuff.

so yeah, I cant really show you demonstrations as this is a family site so how about buying the manga and enjoy, fags!

Probably one of the best illustrators for sonic right now since Spaz. its pretty much the cartoony style and expressions that win me over. Thanks to her, I draw sonic a little differently thanks to her influence. the only set back would be that I think archie is giving her too much work though. Looking at some of her stuff and how it would sometimes lack. Similar to what happened to Richard Elson's sonic work during the Time Zone saga.

Personally, I would have picked Patrick "Spaz" Spaziante over Tracey Yardley, but yeah, that's me.

Madiesensei Says:

*smiles* that's my boy <3 I think I can honestly say lmao The Boys was an interesting comic. Deadpool though, my goodness, I really think that sort of kicked me into gear when it came to inspiration. That and Spy vs Spy.

Kaitos Says:

Well...it seems like they finally made good use for the Sonic chars, but what about Ashura?
