The first issue of Stories from The Other Side moves along... slowly. This is my first time trying this sort of thing... so I'm developing a method as I go. I've already abandoned the comic book style page in exchange for a flash storybook. Even then, I'm really playing with page layout and whatnot.
Naturally the real reason it is taking forever is because I'm a perfectionist. At this point, I've storyboarded the entire comic, revised the storyboards twice and have moved onto penciling every frame in detail. I'm about halfway through that. After the pencil frames, I scan them, vector in Illustrator and then color and shade them. Issue one is pretty long as far as my stories go, too.
I'm not an art major, by the way. I'm a biology major. I study animal behavior and morphology mostly. This stuff is just a hobby.
Factor all of that together and SFTOS will probably debut sometime in the year 2109.
Sorry to disappoint. I'll keep working.
YOU AND YOUR REPTILE BLADDERS AND SUCH.

Not an art major? Interesting.
