Ok, it's the last day of my holidays today and I'm back in at work tomorrow, which would be cool except for the fact that when you're an adult holidays can turn a little stale because most of your friends are at work while you're off, leading to MEGA BORDNESS!
I've been making up for this fact by spending time with the DS, and in particular a wonderful port of Disgaea from the Playstation 2. It's a pretty good conversion given the differences between the two machines, and with the exception of a huge amount of voice acting (the original was 100% voiced and funny as hell! The DS version only has voices for the opening sequence) it's almost spot on. Yes, I know that if you'e already played through the whole PS2 version and levelled your party well past 99 then you'll be wondering what the point was of me buying it again - the answer though is very simple, the game plays really well and makes for a perfect portable play. I highly recommend it to others, if only for the inclusion of a VS mode.
And speaking of VS modes, a thought hit me this morning that I'd like to share for you all. And that is that there arn't enough games that make use of the Wii's Mii function. Sure a few implement it as an added extra, but wouldn't it be cool to have something akin to Street Fighter where you your mates could upload your Mii, select a move-set and literally beat eachother around? You could have almost limitless fun playing against others like that, over the net included. Plus the graphics of the Miis are so simple that you could pack say 50 characters into the game as standard, then upload your whole Mii collection into the game without missing a beat. There'd be loads of space left for cool effects and extras too. An MMORPG styled platformer game would also work well with the Miis, and make for a pretty cool chat environment too. Hell, Nintendo could bring back the Wonderboy license and set you up at the hero. It just seems a tad of a waste to only use these avatars in a handfull of sports games.
Anybody else got a good idea for a Mii game?

Honestly the miis tick me off, not enough variety in terms of hair and colours. Using miis as wrestlers would be good for a bit of comedy...
Disgaea DS is bloody brilliant for those who missed out on PS2 (ie me). That minimap at the top is extremely helpful, and it does have extras that the original didn't have. My only gripe is that it takes a good chunk of time to finish ten floors of an item.

Mii Turn Based Strategy Game? *think Fire Emblem.*
TaoDragon Says:
Better than street fighter sir, if there were some way to turn your mii into a Smash Brothers character, then all would be right with the world.
Except for the poverty. And war. And climate change.
Actually, the world would still be in the crapper, but it would be a little bit more fun.
there are so many possibilities for Mii games but i think that Miis themselves need to be ungraded.
