If I get an MFA and go to school with the ELITE you know what I'm using it for? To make a campaign AGAINST this for us art 'lesser educated! Quoted from my Twitter.


Going to elaborate on this, but, before I do. If you went to a 4 year college for the arts-I don't hate on you- unless your one of those that look down on everyone else.

On to my point! The only reason I would/will plan to go to a four year college and get umptine number of degrees. Is because I want to start a campaign of a mix of schools/companies. That help these artists that can't or feel they want to go another road to get ahead. This will cost less then the Art Schools and will target what you need/want to learn without the degree pattern. More directed toward the art and what's important to know. Rather then wasting time in Mathmatics 101.


Also, I want it to have opprotunties such as meeting already professional artists-going to cons (if your a comic artist) courses that will bring their skills up to par for any type of job they may be seeking. If their more fine art bent-get them into shows. As well as helping their art get sold.


Why do I want this? Because, I am tired of the only way of becoming the artist you want to be is going to a really expensive art school. That will put you into debt and on the other hand these artists that want to go other roads are just as eager and passionate about their artwork. Perhaps, even more so and they deserve more respect then they get. As well as cheaper ways to get to things they want to do in life. I want to make this happen.


I will be honest I don't believe in four year colleges to make you the artist you want to be. However, they are great for things that are not art. They do have great things as well but they shouldn't be the only way and demand things that are almost unneeded for an artstudent. However, I would go to a 4 year college because I want to be the founder of a BUSINESS. That is the only thing I see college for-even if I take their art classes.
