I head to my Parents house today and was greated by my mother. Nothing new but this time it was different not only did I get a 'Welcome Home Eiri' but a hug at the door along with it. No, Im not saying Ive never been huged before as a child I got lots. Just it was at the door way as if Ive been gone for years. So went on saying how worry she was about me. I then started to worry thinking something had happened to my Father. She said 'no, you didnt hear about the asteroid that almost hit us this monday?' '.......huh?' okay, being someone with no power what so ever to stop or provent an asteroid from hitting earth and with out a tv for the past year but my labtop didnt have any idea that an asteroid came close to hit us.... so I just tossed my bag on the chair and said 'eh...thats cool it didnt. but then if it did I would still be eh. couldnt do anything about it' (since they didnt see it until two days before it past!)

So hears what they said about it on the news. After a sure talk on how my mother was worryed and I sould also. Mothers. Thats how they are.


PASADENA, Calif. (AP) - An asteroid about the size of one that blasted Siberia a century ago just buzzed by Earth.



NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory reported that the asteroid zoomed past Monday morning.



The asteroid named 2009 DD45 was about 48,800 miles from Earth.



That is just twice the height of some telecommunications satellites and about a fifth of the distance to the Moon.



The space ball measured between 69 feet and 154 feet in diameter. The Planetary Society said that made it the same size as an asteroid that exploded over Siberia in 1908 and leveled more than 800 square miles of forest.



Most people probably didn't notice the cosmic close call. The asteroid was only spotted two days ago and at its closest point passed over the Pacific Ocean near Tahiti.
