Silence is Golden

Well work has been fun of late (as those of you who have noticed the 'Cupcake!' series of desktops sitting in my gallery will have percieved)and I'm starting to settle into the weirdness that is working within a school environment. Don't get me wrong, snow days are cool and so are the many holidays I get (paid) a year now, but it is VERY different from any place else you will ever experience. Schools are . . . mad!

Gaming wise I am currently playing my way through Dragon Quest on the DS and Alter Isis on the PS2 as well as sharing a game of Chocobo Mystery Dungeon on the Wii with my fiance. It's surprisingly relaxing to hear her chirping her way through CMD while I read a book and occasionally offer up tactics for her, and amusing as hell to hear her swearing at some of the classic Final Fantasy baddies (take that F***wads!, etc).

I await with eager anticipation the release of Azrael issue 1 this month as part of the current Batman arc. I can only pray that it lives up to the wonderful original 100 issue run that made my childhood so great. And on the subject of DC superheroes, anybody who hasn't gone and gotten themselves a copy of the new Wonder Woman animated movie on DVD needs to do so right away! It's not only brilliant, exciting and funny, but it also manages to have a script to die for and vocal performances by the likes of Firefly/Serenity star Nathan Fillion to enjoy. There is no excuse, even my fiance was crying out in glee at the tv near the end.
