Sorry for still not updating much, head's been kinda dead recently
Here's the situation, I'm considering selling my Xbox 360 and getting a Playstation 3 instead. I'm not being fanboy, and I'm not switching from peer pressure, I've just had a little go trying one, so I thought I'd research it and it's differences to the Xbox and I like what I'm seeing.
Online: Yes, I know very well that Xbox live is a much greater online experience than Playstation 3 online. Thing is, I tend to go online on a whim - if the option's there and I feel like mixing things up, I'll play a few games online, but not too much. In order to play online on my Xbox, I'd have to spend money to get at least a month of Gold, then I'd play a little, but feel annoyed at the fact that I'd feel like I'm wasting the allotted time, making online play more stressful for me since I know I won't be on much, but still a little.
Hardware: The Playstation is bigger and an absolute dust-magnet. It's quieter though, and the blue-ray.. doesn't really do anything for me right now, but maybe further down the line. I've not had a RROD on my Xbox though, so I can't pull that into it

This is referring to the online, but it's still hardware: to get my Xbox to connect to the internet, I have to have a wire coming from my Xbox to my PC which is connected to the network via a wireless dongle and even still it rarely ever connects. The PS3 has built-in WiFi so I can connect to my wireless router, even should I bring it downstairs, so then too I'd use it more online than my Xbox.
Games: Here we go.. I'd be stupid to dismiss the fact that the PS3 has fewer games than the Xbox because it's blatantly obvious. A lot of the games coming out for the PS3 but not the Xbox seem to be more my style though. Fable's gotten boring, I really don't like Halo, Gears I can live without.. I know there'd be fewer games I could get, but I still like which games are open to me.
So here's the main question:
Should I go through with going from Xbox to Playstation (when the price has dropped a little)?
I'd appreciate opinions as well as any insight on any of the opinions I've stated above so I can make up my mind.
Masta Brock Says:
I have not used my 360 once since I got my PS3. If you get a PS3, make sure you get one that has a big hard drive and plays PS2 games. I'm probably going to have to buy a second one because I got the cheap model.
Masta Brock Says:
Oh, and here are the games I would recommend: Resistance, Resistance 2, Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank Future, Valkyria Chronicles, Metal Gear Solid 4, Disgaea 3, and Little Big Planet.
Fazz Says:
I agree with the dude and besides I hear the 360's screw up on ya
