[EDIT]
I have come to the conclusion that audio and literature is not welcome here. After all of the changes made to the process of music and writing pieces, I feel that there is no longer a correct place for those types of art to stand.

Writing has always been a part of Sheezy's life, music came in years after. The height of the music and writing scene was when sheezy's front page was set out to allow Flash, Visual Art, Music and Writing all in separate columns for you to browse through. Now though, the "less popular" arts have to battle their way even more to get to the front page. When was the last time you saw a piece of literature on the front page? There could be hundreds of wonderful pieces of literature out there but since there's no place for them, they're now unheard of. Writers and musicians are now feeling very left out.

The inclusion of music and writing tags came along. Those obnoxious overlays that stopped authors and composers from catching the public's eye like regular visual artists are allowed to do. I used to spend a lot of time creating a visually appealing preview image to go along with the mood and subject of the music I wrote and uploaded. That now is all discarded and I am left to have my works stripped of visual stimulation. All this is because of what? The fact that some people mistake the previews for a piece of art and then find out it's a piece of music or writing? Nice to know that music and writing is treated like a taboo. Did we really need a curtain over our previews? Was the problem that users who often submitted writing and music just took images from elsewhere and used them? If so, why shouldn't we add a rule for previews to match the visual arts? Instead of having the musicians and writers who do spend time making their own previews diminished and disallowed to fully couple their submissions with own-made previews.

Time passes and now we have another preview related issue. Now we can't even have a preview. Our submissions now have to be "sorted" into folders and then to have the whole folder cover decide the preview for its contents. I find that very disheartening that I cannot have my gallery as diverse as a regular artists, and therefore brings me back to why I feel that these types of arts have no place in Sheezy.

That leads me to my last note. I will not be sorting out my gallery to have previews. Instead, I will be deleting the artworks contained in my gallery. I do not feel that my works are appreciated any more by the creators of Sheezy, and therefore do not wish to have my works uploaded to Sheezy.
I do thank everyone for your support over the years, you have provided some nice help for me to progress in the music field. Thank you moderator staff and users putting forward my works to be featured. Unfortunately my 6 features will be pulled down, but I'll always remember them. Thank you to all of those I met here in my first year of being here, including Digicoolking, Shida, Onislize, Zeroaltitude, Afrogirl, Topcatyo, Kyoko2 (Gifty), Tyokio, Xenon, Windsong, and TehFluffy. You people were a great help making me feel welcomed and gave me someone to talk to. I really appreciate your support. As for the rest of you during the last years, I appreciate your suppport too. I've met some of you now personally (Doodlibop, Digicoolking, DrThallium, fThreat) and I hope I wasn't too boring to be around! Haha.

Just one last thing, I am still working on my own personal site where you will be able to contact me still, I'll be very active on my own blog and forum, and I'll keep releasing a dose of free pieces for you to download over there. So anybody who wants to know when that's out, you can just send an email to m-one@talk21.com and what I'll do is send you all an email back when the new site is up and running. (will also add you the the mailing list if you don't mind)
I hope all of you enjoy the rest of your time here. Bye bye! ^-^

[/EDIT]

So... (and before I start, this section of the journal is for pointing out bugs, anyone ho classes it as whining needs to leave this journal and go and cuddle up to their pink stuffed bunny)

I really don't know where to start.
I'm sure you all know what I'm about to say, and I know most of you will try to persuade or even make fun of the fact that I'm allowed not to like things. Sheezy, what have you done, seriously.

First off, let me just tell you that I'm using Firefox 3 on a 1024x768 resolution.

With that in mind, let me show you some things.

Number 1.
Links to sheezy from off site (and even some on-site such as the ones I linked on my page using the [art] tag, which I presume is now redundant since it does not work.
Links such as these:

They do not work anymore, Great job!
Instead we get the lovely obnoxious error:

Number 2.
There are inconsistencies between user pages, front page, and every other page.
The old header layout:

Is still showing on the front page and on user profiles, yet the new header layout is show on every other page:

Very consistent design there. Makes the site really flow.

Number 3.
I think we call all see the problem here:

Need I say more?

Number 4.
You didn't think you could get away with me not talking about previews right? Well I am:

Yes, all of the time I spent on those previews are gone, and guess what, I have to waste some time making another one so now they all appear EXACTLY THE SAME. How nice, I now can't have a normal looking gallery. I instead will have a whole screen full of the same previews (or folder covers as they're now called once organised). I wouldn't say this was very organised, just pointless uniformity.

Number 5.
Another nice bug for you. Since the short-lived icon tag feature that was pretty much a big hindrance anyway and caused most people to just turn off the option. We now have ghost icons. Yes, a blank icon by the side of your own. How nice!

Number 6.
Favourites, well, I don't exactly see the point in displaying favourites as part of the user's main gallery, but it's there. Seems to be something wrong though:

You may not be able to tell what's wrong by the image, but let me tell you. I'm on page one of my favourites, and the most recent fave I made is displaying at the bottom-right... Does this now mean that our faves are now Hebrew and Arabic friendly? Thanks for making the faves pointlessly backwards.

Number 7.
A long update bar, really nice and easy to read. I don't think so:

As you can see, there could be a bit of adjustment here in order to have the text fit inside properly. Wait, hey, what's this? We're now promoting bad English on this site! Just so you know, there is no such word as "Watchs".

Number 8.
Another bug. Literature submissions do not have that parchment background any more. Instead, the table wrap is used, which makes some texts hard to read such as this one:

I think that's all for now, and I found these after just 5 minutes of browsing. Quite frankly, I don't even want to attempt to browse any more. The experience of browsing Sheezy has decreased over time, and has now hit an all time low.

Thank you for reading.

M-One officially out of the community.

It'll get fixed. Relax.

Regardless, first day of new stuff? I try to stay away from the site so they get that all worked out before I have to notice it.

giascle Says:

I didn't want to say this on the actual announcement because people would group me in with the rest of the community complaining about every single thing, but there is absolutely nothing to like about this update. Every time Sheezy goes through a change, it gets worse, with absolutely nothing to make it better. I don't think CC cares about people's complaints at all, because his revisons only compound the problems, when he should be fixing them. Something else you forgot to say: when you view a song or cartoon, it opens the second the page loads. This is the NUMBER ONE people have with websites. NEVER play sounds or videos before the viewer is ready. I honestly can't think of anything positive.

SallyMusic Says:

Well I don't know what the heck's happening, but I can't install Adobe flash player because my operating system doesn't support it (I'm still on Windows 98, I know it's old but until now has been adequate), so now it seems I can't view any artworks at all.....great!

skinnyvee Says:

It was a fun idea until I discovered that nothing friggin' works on the site anymore.

I'm sorry you feel compelled to leave as result of all this, but when you put it like that... Well, I can't blame you.

Medjai Power Says:

The worst thing is SA is a somewhat small community. Unlike MySpace where 'Tom' is crowded by millions, Channel Cat should be able to tell what we need and don't need. I swear each update gets uglier and even more pointless.
Music and writing are now irrelevant, I liked both. I check out most songs and most literature but now we've got this cassette looking thumbnail and reading written work now is an eyesore. I was just about to start submitting stories as well ):

And now we've lost M-One, god damn it.

Channel Cat Says:

I've come to the conclusion that music artists will never be happy.

Elfofchaos Says:

Well its a sad day when we lose one of our most talented, but I'll still see you around Matt :3 No way am I gonna let you slip away that easily my friend |3.

glmathgrant Says:

. . .

This journal does a poor job of making it look like music is welcomed on SheezyArt. I cannot blame you for leaving, and now I kinda want to leave, too, except that I want to continue watching a few awesome musician friends here, like Cyril, sausabe, and WaveS.

I myself uses only one preview image for all of my music anyway, so moving them all to one folder and setting the folder's image won't be a problem for me. . . except that four of my songs refuse to move, I can't change any folder settings, and moving the songs to said folder removed them from the front page. >=C I think my preview image (http://www.glpics.com/mathgrant/8tiles/sheezyartpreview-V2.png) is/was very appealing, and lets the viewer automatically know that my music is NES chiptune music; I miss it dearly. :(

Merina Says:

I normally don't see much problem into new Sheezyart changes, but I'm afraid to say most of the changes that have been made are only looking ugly and they have bugs.
It was completely unnecessary to change these type of things as it was fine the way it was.
I'm afraid I also have to go and delete everything that's in my shoutbox, because it doesn't look that attractive anymore.
But perhaps I should wait a bit and see if they find out what's wrong? ...

Merina Says:

also another thing, they always say "dont judge a book by its cover"
But that's the funny thing, people do that anyway. So I feel really annoyed how we have those ugly ass pictures for music and writing.
