This night, after drinking too much herbal tea and going to sleep I had, in my opinion, the best and coolest dream I've every had.
I'm writing here as much as I can remember, both for your enjoyment and also so I don't forget it because I was such a nice dream, it seemed like the BEST movie I ever been to.
First let me tell you that the main characters of the cartoon Avatar were involved, mainly Aang and Katara. All the other characters were made up by my mind, but the setting is pretty much the same. It's like, my own episode or film if you want about the Avatar.
Here goes.
**************************************************
Both Aang and Katara live in a small town, in a long street that looks like a very long inner courtyard with trees in the middle.
They both lived on the roof floor that looked like verandas made of wood. (You could picture it as a place where you'd had barbecue's with friends in an open tropical hut, but here that's how they live).
As in the cartoon series, Katara is a Water Master with her family living there, and Aang.... well Aang was a Wind Master (not really the Avatar but just a normal Wind Master). Though he didn't have a family but that didn't seem important in the dream.
Both Aang and Katara have a special bond, they aren't lovers.... but this very very close friends, actually, both are inseparable.
Katara would teach Aang some Water Master tricks in the spare time on the roof top of Katara's home.
One day, Katara wanted to show Aang one of her secrets, a magic place where she would hide to practice her arts and where she would meditate.
She brings Aang to a nearby medium siced fountain built at the side of a mountain which shelters one side of town.
She had taught Aang the Water Masters ability to breath under water. And so both dive hand in hand into an opening at the deep bottom of the fountain.
Down there they entered what seemed like a underwater cave tunneling system. (Strangely enough the illumination down there was very limpidly clear, almost magical).
The most incredible water animals lived there, mostly resembling those we know but a little different.
Katara pointed out not to hang out too much with all those creatures, even though they looked splendid (sea squid for instance) they might not be friendly.
Katara makes use of some water jet streams to move faster in the current while pulling Aang with her.
Katara knew where she was going through the vast underwater tunneling system.
She brought Aang in some kind of portal (a kind of door, no the inter-dimensional thing). They get to the top where there was a small tunnel filled with air before diving down a tiny bit again.
This time they swam into a huge underwater room that looked like an incredibly large swimming tank.
When they emerged from the water at the end of it they were in a limpid light-blueish room. It looked like a string.
They sat foot on the dry part of the room. Katara was very excited by the fact that she brought her best friend to this magical place. She wanted him to meet someone who lived here.
Then went on looking for him.
Right then, an old small looking creature appeared. It looked like an old imp but with slight turtle-like features.
Katara said that he was a really good teacher and had taught her many things about Water spells and such.
The old wise one asked to Aang as he did to Katara, never to reveal the existence and location of this place isolated from the evil outside. He may however come whenever he pleases as he is a dear friend of Katara.
So both trained together with the new, mystical wise master.
When the training was finished they decided to go back home, so they swum the whole trip back through the underwater cave and back out of the fountain.
After a few weeks, though strange things have been happening in town. Kids had become quiet vile, bulling others. This translated in Katara and Aang sometimes having to find these other kinds of their same age. But because both trained well and take care of each other, they always could manage the fighting with those other kids.
They started to notice the awkward behaviour too, and decided to sneak out of town at night to avoid being seen entering the fountain since the streets aren't safe any more now that these bullies hang around at night. They arrived at the Master's chamber... at first preoccupied by the master's absence, until he pops out later, looking quite tired and bothered with something (it also seemed like his health was fading away).
He told the two that there was evil spreading itself across town. He also hinted out that he might not be here for them for very long.
One day however, the town's problematic was getting so out of hand, everyone was forced to stay home and shut the doors during the night to avoid problems.
Aang and Katara would continue sneaking out... fighting their way through the hordes of those possesed ones and enter the fountain unnoticed.
On a dark night when both came out the fountain and wanted to go back home, the worse was going to happen.
Aang was laying on the ground with Katara laid on top of him, keeping absolutely still while waiting for the right moment to move out and get home while avoiding being spotted by patrols. Evil kids walking the streets and some from the balcony shining torches to spot normal people. But this time they got spotted by a wicked woman who just passed around the corner sounding the alarm.
And so Katara and Aang were fighting the hordes of evils ones.... until one of them mentioned that they have discovered there little secret hiding spot and that they knew about there Master living there. Both were horribly surprised about the fact that they succeeded in stalking them and finding out the secret hideout. They also mentioned that the Master was the only one in there way for taking over the whole town and blocking them to spread out even further. Another one of them was laughing and saying that one of them was heading to there Master as they speak with a deadly present specially crafted to deal with the Master.
Immediately Katara and Aang ran to the fountain to save the Master. But as soon as they dove down in the depths of the cave they noticed that the colours of the water had darkened. There were no creatures in the darkish-blue cold water. For Aang it was too dark to see, so Katara took his hand and told him to trust her guidance. While Aang could only see about 1 inch of sight, Katara gently pulled him through the vast cave.
They rushed by using the jet streams until they arrived at the portal. As they entered the big pool, the colours were also darkened.
As they rose from the water, they saw the Master standing there. The warned him about the imminent danger saying that this place was no longer safe.
Before the Master could reply, they were attacked.
The Master dived deep in the vast pool disappearing in the depths.
After a short amount of time, a huge dark figure was taking shape in the water. It seemed like the Master had turned himself into a huge dark water dragon to fight off the evil ones.
The attacker had foreseen that and pulled out a sort of canister and threw it in the water. With a wicked smile on his face he dived too transforming himself in an small aquatic monster himself.
The Master was still too big to be beaten by the attacker.... but then something was going horribly wrong. The Master was moving uncontrollably in the water, as his shape and look was changing horribly wrong. (Picture a huge black dragon with a really bad case of cancer or tumour.... a REALLY BAD case of it, deforming it's looks).
Until he emerged from the water exhausted from the trauma he was having, and took he's last breath dead with his deformed dragon figure half on the dry side of the pool, and half of his body still in the water.
His attacker had sacrificed himself to use that canister containing some horrible poison to intoxicate the water.
Katara was in shock and started crying. Suddenly the chamber was losing it's magic.... and revealed that the chamber was actually a room within the local school of town. Half the the room was the auditorium with seats and the other side was the huge pool.
Katara ran off while Aang was still looking at the poor Masters body, looking for signs of life... but found nothing.
He then ran off to in search for Katara.
Katara however couldn't found, Aang ran to her home and asked her parents if she had entered. But the worried parents were also missing her.
Aang was begining to worry even more with each second he was missing his friend.
He searched town from top to bottom during a whole week.
He decided to go back to the Master's chamber, hoping to find her there. He entered the fountain again. Nothing was the same any more. There was enough light for him to swim through, yet the light was not as bright as the first times he came into the caves. The only water creatures that were present, were those dangerous looking ones. It seemed like with the death of the Master, so died everything nice about that place.
When he arrived to the sombre chamber, he still couldn't find her. However, the auditorium was filled with sad people, how came to pay there respect to the lost Master. But Aang didn't wanted to lose any time. He came back to town by exiting the school instead of going back through the cave's.
When he came back to Katara's house, he was both surprised and relieved to find her there and well, even though Katara still had that sad look on her face.
Aang asked her where she had gone, and she replied that she needed a moment for her own.
The two of them huged, happy to see each other again.
Then they lied on the roof of Katara's home next to each other, watching the sun set, knowing that difficult days were coming ahead.
The End
