Pokémon fans on the internet divide themselves. It could be the varied rules different forums and websites use, or just cliquey kids only battling the people they're comfortable battling... it could be a number of other things too, but you'd still think a middle ground could be found where people could negotiate a fair match.
Here I am, enthusiastic about battling, looking for battles everywhere. I've never turned down a fair fight... and yet I've seemingly exhausted the supply of people across the internet willing to battle. I get turned down without explanation more often than anything else.
Everyone wants to be the best, but no one will actually try because they might fail. If you're not going to take challengers, stop advertising the fact you play Pokémon with trainer cards, rosters and arrogant claims of being elite.
Make it easier for me to pick out the people with the brass to actually battle.

I'm thankful that I've found a guy at my school whos into it and not whoring his action replay pokemon.
And the occasional fair fight on PBR really helps.

I dunno,I'm usually training and breeding stuff...oh and maybe testing stuff in the battle tower.
I go out every once and awhile and make random accounts on battling sites and beat some dudes then never use the account again. Then come back a few months later with a new account and team.
I really like this gym idea,I get kinda sick of fighting the same crap all the time and it gives me a chance to play around with some neat things.

Hopefully this semester I'll have time to pick up pokemon again. I haven't played it in months (aside from Ranger).
