Offspring - Gone Away

2008 was a year full of great memories.

I met alot of wonderful people and made friends with some awesome people as well. Of course, 2008 had it's fair share of bad crap as well. Here's a recap.

GOOD:
-I finally met Kaku.
-I finally met Nalem and Spanio. They're awesome people. Really. You're awesome guys.
-I finally met Egoraptor. Sweetest guy ever. You're awesome man.
-I made new friends here in Miami. They're amazing people.
-Out of those friends, I made friends with the creator of Destructoid.com, Niero. He's such a cool guy.
-I've been to 2 Guitar Hero tourneys (lost one and judged one)
-Finally graduated from college!
-I got a job.
-Kaku came to Miami. That was amazing.
-I experienced my first Anime convention. Florida Supercon.
-I experienced the convention my friends run at FIU, Yasumicon. AWESOME event!
-I saw Coheed and Cambria live!
-I saw Slipknot, Disturbed, and Dragonforce live!
-I got to meet Dragonforce and took a picture with the guitarists.
-I finally got an Xbox 360 and Rock Band 2! Finally!
-My stepdad bought a 60 inch flat screen HD-TV!
-Experienced alot of parties.
-Saw alot of boobs, drunk people, and lulz.
-IRON MAN! HULK! YES!!!
-Dark Knight was awesome too!
-My dad is an amazing person. Nuff said.
-New house!

BAD:
-Fucking traffic ticket.
-Didn't get to go to AX.
-The Jiffy Lube I worked at closed down.
-I got shafted from 3 major job opportunities...at the last minute to the point in which the job was in my hands.
-My grandfather's health declining.
-Debt
-Lost some of my so called 'friends'.
-Doubted myself in the direction my life was going cause of something a former friend of mine did 3 years ago.
-Felt distant from certain people.
-Never really got anything off the ground in terms of music, Flash, or anything else I could've done.
-Drama at Orlando from a recent trip with my friends.

The year ended on a good note. Christmas was awesome, I got everything I wanted and more, and spending New Years with my friends was great. It really does feel great to finally feel accepted within a group of people locally here in Miami. It also feels great to rock out on my 360 with Rock Band 2 without hearing Oasis and Weezer every freakin time. I CHOOSE MY OWN SONGS NOW BITCH! HAHAHA!!!

Ah man, freedom.

However...how the year began....2009 started with a horrible bang.

I already vented about this on LJ, so I won't go into much detail here...but all I can say is this...

On New Years Day, my grandfather finally passed away.

I managed to pick myself up after the whole thing...cause I was a freakin emotional wreck...but I still miss him. At least he's no longer suffering and he can finally rest in peace.

RIP abuelo.

I can't dwell on it though. I did enough mourning. Time to move on a look towards the future...and boy the future looks good.

FUTURE PLANS:
-I'm going to see Trivium in Feb.!
-Kaku is coming down here Feb. 19th!
-I'm throwing a huge birthday party!
-Coheed and Cambria is releasing a DVD box set of their Neverender concert event in March!
-Street Fighter 4 in Feb.!
-I turn 23 on Feb. 28!
-Yasumicon 2009!
-Crank 2! YES!
-AX...hopefully I go this time.
-I got 'hired' by my uncle and friends to do Flash Animations for their websites. heh.
-Pearl Jam's 'Ten' being released for Rock Band 2 on March!
-Hopefully getting a better job.
-Make new friends?
-GUITAR HERO METALLICA! AHHHH!!!! !
-BRUTAL LEGEND! YEESSSS!!!
-Metallica might be coming to South Florida in 2009! HOLY CRAP! !
-Flash? Maybe. No promises. I learned my lesson.
-Band? Maybe. I was given an offer to be the lead guitarist for my friends band. We'll see.
-Computers? I was told I can start my own business in repairing computers. Maybe. We'll see. No promises.
-New story? Maybe. In the works.
-New avatar? mmmm...well...

2009 has so many things in store and I can't wait.

I know my grandfather is looking down at me right now and I want him to know that his grandson is going to work hard and kick ass this year.

With my friends (you guys rock), my family (love em so much), and my girl (she's so amazing ) on my side...

This maybe the year I can finally shine.

I hope.

For now, I just need catch up with everyone here on SA. Also, to start this 'thing' up.

I will not mention what this 'thing' is, however, once I am done with this 'thing', I will let you know.
