QuestionTheMajority: Christians Who've Experienced the Supernatural

A lot of people would feel uncomfortable writing a journal such as this online for fear that their peers would find them insane. I, however, have the fortunate knowledge that most already consider me insane, so I have nothing to lose from this! Hooray!

Okay, joking aside, I've been watching a very frightening program on Bio about an organization referred to as A Place of Light, which seeks to gather and empower so-called "psychic" children. I'm not going to go into great lengths about all of this here as it would mostly confuse people and long philosophical discussions in places like this rarely prove anything. However, the things I have heard these counselors tell the children and things I've seen them do is truly frightening. Why is it that the supernatural must solely belong to those who refuse to acknowledge God's power? Honestly, for there to be a supernatural realm and NOT a God makes no sense to me.

I know for a fact that I am not the only Christian who has experienced these things and I'm tired of being treated as though I am. I'm tired of people whom I know have experienced them, my parents for instance, who continue to pretend that there's nothing strange about our world in order to keep a pretty face to the people around them. This is a frightening world, people. And it's more frightening when we leave the darker mysteries of our existence to people who could make very bad things happen. Is there a place where Christians who truly believe in the paranormal can meet? Because I say it's time we started to admit what's going on in the world and help people who are experiencing it rather than put them in the hands of those who are being controlled by the very forces chasing them!

If anybody has experienced these things themselves or knows about meeting places for us, let me know. I feel this is very important and I thank my friends and fans for being able to read this and still respect me, even if they may think I'm a bit on the kooky side.

Galloglasses Says:

Here's the rationale: Alot of non-Christians and especially anti-Christians, (or anti-thiests in general) hold that the belief in a god/gods is central to suckering people out of their money and power. This is a fallacy, as in a belief in a god/gods ties a person's hand more then it does free them with silly little things like morality and what God has to say in the matter. Whereas in cults where the existence of a god is denied feels attractive because spiritually dry people long for Spirituality without the restriction of Religious duties and morals. As well as this, without a focus on a god, cults like the Physcic one you mentioned above can then have the focus of awe and reverence strictly for the hierarchy or the patriarch or, (more often then not), the matriarch behind it. hence a godless cult such as that would have greater power and wealth then one that acknowledges a god/gods.

You should check a few of the Christianity clubs for such a meeting place, (granted, they're not very active but I'd say you're safer with the larger of the clubs.) Personally I reserve myself to a particular Catholic Teen Phorum that I enjoy going to for these sorts of things, (altough we do discuss pretty much anything and everything), the paranormal is not shunned as a topic.

And yeah, I have experienced the paranormal in possibly the worst way possible but definately yes.
