About to EXPLODE!
So, not unexpectedly, I have lots to talk about. I've recently renewed my love of Labyrinth, but I've also discovered one or two things that make my head go 'BLAH!!!' I realize that every year, teenage girls and preteens of all ages discover the Labyrinth, and find that David Bowie in that movie makes their blood churn. Newsflash, kids, in that particular movie, he's nearly 40. I looked it up. Bowie was born in 47. In case you're math illiterate, that makes him 61 right now. He's quite old enough to be our father/grandfather, girls. Really, though, what is it about Bowie, or rather Jareth, the Goblin King, that gets girl's blood rushing, spurring Mary Sue's galore? Seriously? Okay, as a character, Jareth is incredibly seductive, but he's 1300 years old. >.> Oh, and he was in love with SARAH in the movie. I understand the gushing over that. As a character, he's very raw and male, and it's really hot to see someone that seductive committed to one woman. That stated, I'm currently writing two Goblin King gets the girl stories, neither of which are Mary Sues. I'm also writing a LabyxHMC crossover, which is turning my brain to mush. Seriously.

That aside, I've arrived at what will hopefully be my final destination for the next five years. Seeing as how this was my husband and I's 5th move in 13 months, we're both relieved. And I'm pleased to announce that the location is the most unbelievably beautiful I've ever seen. We currently are living at Ft. Richardson, Alaska, which is just north of Anchorage. Yesterday (the first day in which we had sun in the four days since we've been here), I had a clear view of the mountains from outside our hotel window. We're a hop skip and jump away from sushi, skiing, and nearly every other thing you can think. The unit seems much better than any other we've been to, seeing as there's an unbelievable lack of 'grunts', and mostly soft-skilled jobs, I'm not surprised. We have had snow every day since we've been here, and besides dealing with a TERRIBLE rental car, everything is great. It's actually not terribly cold, and we do get about 5 hours of sunlight a day currently. We also managed to find a house that will likely be our residence for quite awhile, and with any luck the loan will go through and the offer on the house will be accepted. UNfortunately, we can't move in until after the roll over of the new year. Although that means no Christmas and New Year in our new home, it's fortunate, because we wont have to file long form on our taxes.

Anyways, if you've actually read this far, once I get my scanner, I'll have some new pictures that I sketched in my book while my husband was attempting to get his computer to work. I'm pleased with the character designs and the costumes. Anyways, TTFN.
