I woke up at 2.30am because I couldn't sleep, so I spent most of Saturday in a daze. My flight (in this plane here- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:VH-QOH.JPG) went allright, although it seemed to be massivly delayed. I got off, went off to the motel room (which was quite nice, but I have low standards ). I wondered around Port Macquarie for a while, and went on a whale-watching..
cruise. Saw no whales, got seasick as the seas were choppy. Went out and at at some place selling crepes and pancakes. It tasted nice. Walked around some of the beaches as well.
On Sunday, it was pretty much more of the same. To make up for Saturday's lousy cruise, I decided to go on a junk (http://www.junkcruises.com.au/index.htm) that was MUCH nicer. There were only 2 other people on board, and they included some takeaway food on the boat. It went up the local rivers/canals, and was a nice way to spend the morning. Since I had a few hours to kill in the afternoon, I went to the nearby koala hospital (http://www.koalahospital.org.au/)
and went on their tour.
It was interesting and I took a few pictures. Had some nice mexican for dinner. As for this morning, I just walked around the town and took forever to get back home from the airport. Still trying to work out the best way to travel back from the airport. So that was my weekend.
