Okay, I really never thought I'd do something like this, but I guess I am. Ahem...
I've never had any problems here at SA until now. I've posted some new art and I get people ripping on my shit. This is a first! It had something to do with Norse gods and what have you and I clearly stated that it was MY OWN VERSION. I'm not trying to steal the idea of Norse mythology, I just want to try it in my own style. I love Norse mythology and I wouldn't want to destroy it or anything. But no, people were thinking that I was "shitting on Norse mythology" (direct quote taken from a comment) I have removed the art and quite frankly, I'm fed up. And it's not just me, it's other people in the same situation. I'm tired of great artists leaving SA because other people are saying "Oh, I don't like that show/book/game/etc so I'm gonna talk shit about your art and give it a bad score." Why in the HELL would you being spending and of your time looking at something you don't like in the first place? If you don't like something, ignore it! Why do you feel inclined to say "This is a fucking piece of shit you can't draw to save your mama's life" and blah blah blah. Why not just be like, "Hmm, I'm not too crazy about this piece, so I'll just ignore it" and go about your busniess? *Sigh* Sheezy Art was my first ever art site that I joined and I never thought it would come to this. I've been part of this site for a little over 2 years now... I'm not going away forever or anything, I'm just taking a "break". You guys don't have to say "Don't leave" or "We'll miss you", it's fine. Like I said, I'm not leaving. Besides, I have some stuff to get done anyway. Novels don't write themselves. If any of you want to find me or anything, send me an e-mail. My e-mail is on my page of course. Alrighty then my SA fam, bai bai!

You really shouldn't let some assholes on the internet have such an effect on you. By taking down your art and leaving the site, even temporarily, they win. Simply ignoring them always works. Don't even block their comments (if you can do that on this site). Just don't do anything about them. They always go away.
Listen to your own advice. If you don't like something, IGNORE it.

Sheezyart artists - the ones in particular who probably left those comments make it their job to weed out particularly crappy or uninspired art. They are most likely very serious comic book artists with published books (Like Cypress) or their degree is in fine arts and graphic design (Like Maniac's).
How do I know this? Cypress screencapped it and put his comment on your art up on his livejournal to laugh at.

They were most likely mad at the fact that you didn't even think up your own story, or very inspired characters. Again, artists on sheezyart are very protective over art, characters, and especially literature they love. They do not think it's original if you just take Norse monsters and turn them into desu anime prettyboys.

The best ones usually stay, and are trying to weed most of the anime/sonic fan-artists out with comments as such. In the case of ManiacTHP and Cypress, they were extremely mad that you had taken Norse Mythology and put a bad twist on it. There is a difference.

It's what most artists on Sheezyart do. Unlike deviantart, you don't have to be a favorite/comment/watch whore to get hits, you actually have to draw. It's just the artists supplementing themselves. If they find something particularly dis-likable, they WILL comment.

Because it's WHAT THEY DO. If you pick yourself up and try something new afterwards, then that's showing some nards, like these artists (who have put up with countless drama-war flames, random trolls, and other young brats commenting on their work - and leaving all the comments up). You have simply shoved your head in-between your legs, and run.

If you were in here for two years, you'd know how it works. Regardless, these artists are now satisfied that you're gone, if not temporarily.
