Fan tastes change. I wouldn't put too much thought into it. If you think your art is getting worse (which I'd disagree with), ask teachers. Friends. Homeless guys on the street. Whatever. Just don't depend too much on online viewers.
School has picked up and....you people are just stupid people. . You know ILU and your art is not bad at all! People are just focusing on one style of art and not wanting to expand or anything of the sort. It's not you, it's the people.
On sheezy you have to play to a certain audience, because it's 90% kids. DA I have no idea. theres so many amazing artists there it's hard to get your foot in the door. I've been on DA for years and people don't know I'm alive. The attention you get online doesn't reflect the quality of art in anyway shape or form unfortunately. thats art in general though I suppose.
btw sorry I don't comment more often. I'm always looking though.
Well. It's a mixture of all of the things above, I must say.
Not only that but in a lot of places they're celebrating holidays around this time, so everyone's views are going down, no one has time to get on the computer.
:]
It's nothing personal, I'm sure.
Don't strain yourself to thrive off of page views, darlin'.
Ah, pageviews and whatnot are a bunch of poo-poo to be honest. It's just like the hierarchy of social standings in high school--it's only an online community. Draw because you love to draw, don't draw because other people tell you to!
deviantART and sheezyart are full of people who don't know a thing about art. like those people who join sheezy just to use it as a sort of photobucket to post pictures of lolcats and what not. and deviantART is full of 21 year old males who just want to see huge unrealistic anime boobs. i dont know why your views have been going down, its probably not your art though.
We're fickle bums and we tend to view things more or less at an unpredictable rate. Finals are rolling around for a number of college students as well...and while I'm not sure what percentage of the online population on art sites are students, I could assume many of them might be suddenly realizing the end of the semester is near and they need to get caught up on things.
I wouldn't worry too much about it though...you art is lovely. Don't freak out too much about it. (:
your pieces are amazing, and as people have stated, it's mainly the audience and peoples taste here on sheezy, based on more anime oriented artwork, but don't go switching how you draw just because of the community, i mean, you're not getting shunned or hated, so you're really fine, trust me.
You're probably one of the people on this website whose pieces have the most artistic value, seriously. You shoudn't really worry too much about things like pageviews/favorites/ratings. In my opinion it's the comments that matter the most. And remember that popularity on websites like these is people's taste; but it's not real life. I'm sure that if you want to, you can go much farther with your art in real life on the basis that it's unique than an anime artist.
I love your art.

Because I think your work is fabulous, but animegurl6521 might not.
Just always remember the audience of today.
Anime goons ;m;
