"Don't ask me what I want it for--if you don't want to pay some more!"
And don't argue with Stevie Ray Vaughan!
Seriously, though...give this some thought, guys. You may think you're sticking it to "all those 'rich' people," but you're really sticking it to everybody, including yourselves. First off, the rich aren't so rich as you'd think. And more taxes are the LAST thing the economy needs right now.

Murder by Magic: An anthology of twenty short stories including magic and a murder mystery. Includes stories by Diane Duane, Debra Doyle, James MacDonald, and more! There's some good stuff in there... (Only one more story pending...I'll be reading it someday now that I've finished the Mageworlds series.)
THANK THE LORD PEOPLE ARE STARTING TO PAY ATTENTION. When it's speculated we will lose up to 60% of each pay check to these "tax cuts" under the Obama plan... yeah, I was surprised that no one really paid attention because they thought it was only the wealthy losing the money. No one even bothered to research the "tax-cuts." If they had, they would have discovered that it was a jazzed up term for welfare :\
Lmao, you should see the taxes in the Republic of Ireland. You get taxed for the air you breath.
Seriously though. "Spread the wealth around!" After all, this worked out so well for Soviet Russia... and China, and North Korea, and Cuba and... well.... Europe.
Kiss the American Dream goodbye if Obama takes power.
As well as that - anybody can be rich as circumstances change.
So it's not really an incentive for people to work really hard to become better off - So I take it Obama is heading down the route of the Welfare State?
That just doesn't work. Labour has really fucked up the UK by making people feel that it's ok to be on the Dole - or at least it did. Not the economy is changing, all these people who aren't doing sod all
have already started to find themselves really, really screwed.
Actually Obama's tax plan is to go back to what it was during the Clinton era. We've already seen what Mccain's tax plan has done to the economy because it's the same tax plan that Bush has been using for the past 8 years. It was also a tax plan that McCain was against when it first came out.
It's just a bad idea to shift the tax burden from the rich to the middle class.
When IS the election anyway? Up here in the not so white north we had ours before Halloween... My guy didn't get the job but he won overwhelming majority in his area... I liked his ideas... we're non majority government again and though we didn't win, the guys I was rooting for got a lot of seats in parliment so maybe some of the policies will show through after all...
As for you guys... I just want the war to be over mostly, and have more attention paid to the needs of the people. Of course you could probably move a good majority of the populace up here, we have lots of room!

I lose enough of my paycheck to it, I don't need more to go buh-bye.

I seriously wish they'd do away completely with the marriage and death tax. Hell, at least the DEATH TAX!

How high are your taxes?
I mean, in Finland if you get a really good pay (say 5000€ a month) you might have to pay 40% tax on it.
