Some of you probably saw it coming, some of you probably had no idea, others might have had an idea but didn't want to know if I was or wasn't, while some actually know I've been planning this for a while.
Though I will say, it's not a permanent leave, so to speak. I'm not going to be entirely inactive on this site as there are people I can't get over on dA, so, I'll be around commenting and looking at their work.
I just won't be submitting any more arts or journals, most likely.
So you're probably wondering why?
There's a lot of little reasons for it actually. Little things that eventually made up one big thing that would get me to leave.
Firstly the art. I don't get enough comments and criticism. *Whine whine*

Nah, I just feel there is a division on the site now between artists. Some people want to completely abolish the anime style, but, that would be completely removing an art form from a site with hundreds. So the illogical views and idiotic opinions is one of the things.
Then there's the general stupidity of things. In the last two years I left a lot of long comments, criticising comments that aimed to help people improve. Regardless of the fact everyone seems to ask for those, hardly anyone responds to them, so even though I'm not doing it for compliments or praise...why the hell should someone waste their time trying to fill the gap of what people want when people don't even respond?
It's not worth the time to do that.
The site itself.
I don't really think we've moved forward in the last several months, myself, as our 'updates' seem to be quick fixes that make the site seem better for about ten minutes and yet the issues that plague the site, like the frontpage design that doesn't allow Recent arts to be shown for more than about 3 minutes...are left unnoticed.
That's not the only thing.
So don't think I'm just bashing the frontpage because I care as little about that as you could.
Big whoop. You get onto a frontpage surrounded by various arts that have reasons to be there that aren't at all artistic.
Yay. (/sarcasm)
Finally the way things changed. I remember this site two years ago when people were friendly with each other, things happened, nothing too big. All was alright.
We could be civil.
Now it seems most people can't be and this is probably the most significant reason, take away the art, the site itself, the lack of response from users and you are just left with the community.
A community that basically hung itself and is pretty much done. I don't think it's got much life left in it.
So why dA? That's worse right?
Well that is as maybe. Personally I don't see it...maybe I haven't been there long enough to. But I don't see the same issues here as there.
And also because I've basically asked all of the people on my friend's list for their accounts, so that, once over there I just have a place to put my art online (which would've been my blog) where people can comment/criticise it. But without the hassle of all the other people I watch, half of which, frankly never answering comments anyway.
So yeah.
If you want to watch me over at dA (this is for people that just generally watch me), give me a heads up and I'll send you the link.
Otherwise you can de-watch me, hate me, think horrid thoughts or do whatever.
Not my business to know, not even my business to care.
I would like to mention however that certain people here (and you know who you are) have really helped me develop as an artist, as a person and more importantly as a friend.
I hope to see you all over at dA as well, as that is where I'm laying my hat, so to speak, and that is where I'll be submitting my pieces now.
If I don't see you, I hope things go well for you and that you all have prosperous meaningful futures.
I guess that's it.
G'bye!
Ethereal Mog.

Help an artist out!
Federschein is now doing commissions and I would appreciate it if you popped by her user page, checked out her art and checked out her prices. Even if you might not want/be able to make an offer for a commission yourself, if you know someone who does and likes the kind of art she draws, please point them in her direction.
Thanks in advance!!

Hoshikostar is now doing commissions! As such I would appreciate it if you dropped by her user page to check her art and prices out and possibly buy one! Even if you cannot afford to or don't want to make a commission yourself can you please spread the word for this awesome artist? Drop her a PM if interested!
Thanks in advance!!

Yronsparx is beautiful, intelligent, great, smells good and well, she dropped me a line so I have to feature her, right?
Um, she's really rather fun when you get to know her and has the most interesting outlook on things- drop by and see her!
Thanks in advance!!

Chaos Flare has recently started selling her wonderful fractals on T-Shirts and as prints. If you've ever seen her work you'd know you'd have to be crazy to miss out on such gorgeous and high resolution artwork on a nice snug T-Shirt or a print for your wall- or perhaps several prints to replace your wallpaper!

Swing by and check 'em out!

Beethovenbd is an old style composer who writes classical pieces while composing impressive scores, not only do they make you think quite instinctively, but are also easy on the ears and rather interesting if your passion is music. To top it off he's a pretty nice guy as well, so pay him a visit if you're in for a night of fine composing or a good chat.
If you'd like to be featured here for any reason, drop me a line and I'll get to it!
Imperial Obsession Says:
Ethy! D: Ah well. S'okay. I understand. SA's in the biggest rut I've seen it.
You know I'll be seeing you around. EVERYWHERE.
But I practically moved all my interest from dA when no one would really look at my stuff, got here, got seen and critiqued, and now that I've improved I moved back to dA. Haven't gotten lots of comments, but it's better.
Winged Cat Says:
I strongly agree with you about SA. I've been much more active on DA without even notice why, it's just so much better.
Merina Says:
As said before: Fair enough.
Currently I might be gone for a while though.
DarthAnime42 Says:
*sighs* I've been on dA for two years, and, although there were some SMALL problems, I have never seen anything huge.
as for sheezy, I have been here for only 3 weeks (kinda new here)and I have that people are very derragotive, very rude, and not all that nice. You say something, one little opinion, and you have a crowd of people you've never even seen before come at you with hate mail.
On dA, you state your opinion, haters leave it, supporters support it.
and alot of artists think that dA isn't good at all. ha, they are taking it for granted.
(er...sorry if you've never seen me before, just saw your journal on the new journal thing. ^ ^; )
koshizzle Says:
i find it nearly impossible to meet other artists on dA, and the clubs are strange...but if moggie is there, i'll keep using that gallery, too. i don't really mind if you leave sa, as long as we can still have our comment conversations somewhere and we can still plan our future in the asylum over msn.
i'm still working out how i'll get to england before going entirely nuts.
And despite everything bad that goes down here I still do love sheezy, but you're right about everything you said in this journal. Sheezy is a small site compared to da though so not all the drama is within such an easy reach. It still goes on, probably worse because of the numbers (if one follows statistics I dont know for sure lol) but it's harder to see it, just as it is harder to see new people.
I wish you the best of luck and hopefully this change will be a positive one. I hope maybe in the future to be a bit more active on there so as to pop in every now and then to say hi. I hope you find a ton of helpful watchers who will comment, not only in just to say something is nice but to give comments as you have given them here. It's only fair.
HoshikoStar Says:
you kinda know what i think
know the feeling, share the feeling, feel the feeling
i think exactly what you think about this issue C :
i loved this site. it introduced me to great people, to the whole internet community experience thingy, to new things in general. but now i come and i just think blah and i see it's going down, down, down
everyone that i like is leaving, but it's because we all share the same feeling. ha! even i haven't been here in ages
i'm not officially gone, but i really just don't feel like sticking around. people keep adding me to their watch list, but they don't realize that i've been kinda gone
as for dA..hmmm welll i'll see you there if i ever go there X D
hahaha i really can't say i'll miss you since i've got you somewhere safe lololol but i will miss the arts, then again, if you're gonna be active on dA then i'm gonna have to be active too and leave you comments that might be helpful X DDDDD
i love you, my wife C:
HoshikoStar Says:
oh wow and you're a moderator! and you're going away lololol MODERATOR ON THE RUN! STOP HIM!! hahaha
hahahaha when did that happen?
ahhh i've been gone far too long from these sheezy places
