I don't know if it's just me...
But there's a lot of art theft going on lately. I can't prove half of them, nor do I want to be conflicted with false assumptions and RAGE of "fans" but I sure smell art theft... I won't say who.
But honestly, what is with all the harsh critique on animu art and art theft lately?
I thought this place was to get away from DArama. :/ It just is SA drama.

I saw someone submitting a lot of official Naruto artwork, and he actually has a horde of fans now because they don't realize he's stealing. and yeah I've seen a lot of art theft lately.
I'm also tired of those downrate trolls. I wish they'd say WHY they downrate art instead of just being assholes about it. and they better have good reasons, not because "it's too animu looking."

ive seen alot of accounts up lately that are empty
and just to flame people and make a general nuisance.

I hate people who downrate others arts someone went through my whole gallery and did that I was sooo mad. And comments? No. grrr so mad.

those downraters are getting extremely annoying, people just wanting to be ridiculous coz they can be. *headache* i've been deleting 5+ comments on almost every single new piece of art i post coz they are trolling "animu sucks" "its so ugly, my eyes bleed" etc... ugh, and you know that most of them cant even draw a decent stick-figure? just makes me want to torture them with needles til they get a life. >n<

And as for the downrater people leaving all of the nasty comments I just tell them, "That's nice. I'll let you know when I start to care ;D" That normally shuts them up quite nicely.

DArama exists everywhere, it's just different on every art site, people here on SA think they get away with art theft because it's not as popular as DA and probably less likely to be noticed.
But at the same time harsh critique is something artists have to learn to deal with, being an artist isn't about being coddled. Some people can be jerks (I found out the hard way on some sites) but you can ignore those people, and choose what critique is useful or not.
You're a great artist but harsh critics will do as they please, and they will.

Thoughtful, constructive criticism is one thing... but people who leave completely rude,mean and unhelpful comments should be banned. rawr.
As for art theft... I never know how so many people catch it all the time... I mean I know I've seen it every now and then and I've told the artist about it... but people who catch it all the time? And I think some of it has to do with people who upload there stuff to like a million sites. I personally only stick to DA and SA.
