(MySpace meme things are silly)

Sooo my birthday was a good un I'd say :3 We left for NYC around 6:30 and got there around 11... First we walked around Central Park a bit... saw the Dakota & Strawberry Fields, took pictures... realized I was a dumbass and forgot to put the memory card in my camera, so I had a max capacity of about 40 pics... then I spilled gatorade on my face, because obviously i'm so stupid, I can't even have the kind of dignity not to.

It was all hot and muggy and uncomfortable outside.. so we elected to go to the museum instead of walk around outside more. While Kate and my dad and I were in the hall of African mammals, my mom went off to go to the bathroom... and came back w/ my sisters & brudder in law It was a lovely surprise. So we all wandered the museum for a couple more hours, had lunch at the food court (stupid overpriced cafeteria food... why are you so good?)... one of my favorite moments of the day:

[Karalyn and I were looking at this encased stuff in the space/life section]
Karalyn: [pointing at a couple butterfliess] What are these guys? They don't have names.
Me: Those're specimens they found on the moon.
Karalyn: Really?!

Then she was like "I don't know, I thought they were luna moths"...

Also, when we walked into the bird exhibit, and they were all mounted on the wall, my mother said, "[gasps] They killed them all!!" And then the kids all had dirty minds.
Me: Lookit all the peckers.
Karalyn: They're next to the hooters.
Jay: And the swallows.
Me: Hey look, boobies!

When it came to naming animals... birds kinda got shafted... lol shafts.

After the museum we went and ate a light lunch at this small cafe, Tasty Cafe or something like that... n I got to open the last of my presents, which were from my sisters... a Beatles tin lunchbox, Aviators, and the Office trivia game Plus in New York, Kate bought me a framed John Lennon/Imagine photo ^.^

And now I'm sick. Something going round school I guess. I came home from school early today... slept mostly.

I got lots of art to work on... and almost no motivation to get it done... x.x I know i have a handful of trades to finish, plus I gots a 'commission' type thing to color for a teacher at school, and i need to draw like.. 10-12 fullpage-size lizards for another teacher... for a bulletin board border-thing... cause I said I would. But that's slow-going too, cause lizards aren't exactly my forte x.x
