30 Seconds to Mars

So, I've come up with a new story, and I've got the 'basic' character design phase completed, and as I drew the leading characters, I realized that they were visually identical to Nyte and Sasha. This is a big NO-NO for me. So I'm putting out a sort of contest.

Truth be told the 'prize' will be either a sketch or a lineart, with no color because my printer/scanner doesn't like it...of whatever they want, really.

If you decide to take part, thanks bunches. Here are the character names and descriptions-

Aoi
Sex: Male
Age: Appears around 20
Occupation: Soul Reaper
Hair: Black
Eyes: Pale blue
'Unnaturally' interested in mortals. Kinda creepy (to humans).

Hikari
Sex: Female
Age: 16
Occupation: High school student, currently at hospital
Hair: Light brown
Eyes: Brown
Cheerful, and generally likable. She died, only not, and now she sees 'dead people'.

And the big one that I need help with. The Gaki, which if you know any Japanese mythology about them are nasty little demons which feed off of either flesh, blood, or souls of humans. That said there are three kinds. I'm looking for something freaking creepy/scary.
