I was talking about sports (even the olympic games) with one friend, but he said to me something that I'm thinkin' a lot: " you can't understand about sports, you only draw for hours in front your computer about flash movies and pics, the sport is not from you" I really think....wow.....yeah! so...Im artist...i can't do a sport?...
it's difficult to find a artist that is deportist too? even, the people consider us as " people with no social life because we only drawin' all time"...maybe...maybe not... I mean, be deportist is cool, but its no the big thing...it's awesome how Phelps won 8 gold medallons in swimming and people consider him a GOD of water.... girls who never noticed about him but NOW they love him!!!!! so...wtf??? do you imagine me as artist and deportist too?? "DANDARK IS A GREAT ARTIST!!! MAKE AWESOME VIDEOS AND PAINTINGS, AND HE WON THE RECORD OF ALL GAMES!!!!!!!" then, they love me more.
It began with when I was commentin' with my friend about our country gold medallons...yeah, China and EUA got more, like 30 and 50, Mexico...only 2. My friend told me what Mexico's government doesn't help our people at sports, but c'mon! sincerly I recognize myself Mexicans are lazy in sports and other things, winning 2 gold medallons are great for us in Tae kwan Do, that each person is awesome, I respect those because they make all their effort, and it's a bit of courage because when Mexico wins, the people of my country scream "we win!! we win!!!" ....."we...win???"....dude, HE/SHE WON!!! NOT YOU!!...but returning at my point.
I think an artist like me, like you can be a deportist!! or not? and can be better than phelps, bolt or anybody if we want! just is can say "i want to do it". I'm not deportist, but if I would...I'd do.
I think is more about respect. we do something...something artistic. they do other things. but all human can do the same, of course...not at the same level, but yes the same thing.

I understand what you mean (well I don't know what a deportist is
). I guess i comes down to stereotypes. I'm an artist, and I do actually spend a considerable amount of time drawing, or on my computer....more than I spend with my freinds anyways, but I do have a social life :/ I'm not a total loner.
To tell you the truth I'm not interesting in much that isn't art, if you include films, music, and games, which I think you can these days, depending on what sort of music neways (e.g. Rap, hip-hop...it's not really art now is it?).

I'm not interested in sports
So I guess I kinda back up the stereotype...sorry everyone
DuDuL Says:
You know that we are kinda similar in few ways...
...
but i kinda get offtopic so ill say short
I, as artist and Otaku, i dont really give a s*it about sports nor i do anything... but i care about my outside image so i do those basic exercises to not get fat computer guy stereotype
Still its REALLY pain in the ass to find a relative girlfriend here...
Ok. find girl that play games and stuff... its not so hard... but find girl that also likes anime and manga or at least will start watching couse of you... thats so imposible... to be sure same is with the guys here... i got like 3 friends i can really rely on... rest are like buddies for bear
Artist + Sports = NO !!
Medjai Power Says:
Trick is to keep your social life and internet life parallel. If they clash then one becomes the other.
That's the whole reason I have this "Medjai Power" alias. I'm fit, I play sports I talk to people and I'm real friendly. I'm kinda good at drawing, producing effects, directing/ animating sprite flashes and making comics. Not your average computer guy. So I have two different lives both the same person.
Artist + Sports = Yes.
LordZakida Says:
I don't know very many people who are cosmopolites, but it is possible to do both.
Shadowii2 Says:
In my opinion it's far away from impossible.
I'm an artist and yet still I'm better than average at running and high jumping?
THOSE who don't have social life are those who say that to computer users, because they don't know how internet works out as a community.
We artists just appearantly like drawing a lot as it's our hobby.
But doing sports is someone else's hobby, so what's the point?
Everyone has decided the way they like it, but I like being an artist myself, but I do go out for a walk quite much,
