I can't stand the commentary from the media during the olympics, where everyone there worked their butt off to compete. Within a second, they can go from complimenting a team to bashing them.

I was watching the swimming competition, and at one point, the Chinese were ahead. After a while the gap between China and the other teams gradually got smaller, yet still ahead, and the commentary said, "Oh, this is the part where China starts falling behind and get passed. Man, China's not doing well, because they're lacking in consistency, and blah blah blah..."

Similar thing happened in volleyball just now - USA vs Cuba. We were one point from winning, and Cuba was behind by 3 points. What does the commentary say, before the game's even finished? "Oh, it's over for Cuba. They'll do their best to catch up, but the US has got this game..." One negative comment after another.

It's the OLYMPICS!! What are they trying to prove by talking down on these competitors? Nobody wants to hear that. They need to shut up. It's not over 'til it's over.
