Before I get into the title.

Sorry no updates. Been busy as hell, and lazy...and my excuse is what is about to be posted...

I've read 12 books in the last....month. >.>; soon to be 13 but I left my other book at home and it's not here, so I shall be playing my DS with a copy of Harvest Moon cute. ^^

BIG POST TIME!

My love for Tamora Peirce books is unending.

I love this womans writing, filled with magic and powerful strong women. I always get dragged into her books.

I never been in love with a writer so much.

Looking back, I remember when I first found one of her books.

I was in Jr.high and had gone to the public libarey with Angie like normal, I was on a hunt for new books. I was going through the teen section when I saw a book with a pretty cover.

Yes, I do judge books by the cover when I am looking for brand new material. I do read the backs of the books to see if it'll intrest me, but to pretty cover catches me eye.

It was of a young woman holding a baby griffen in her arms. The book was called 'Squire'. Unknown to me, it was the third book the Protector of the small quartet series. I read it anyway, drawn in with a story about a young girl named Keladry, or Kel for short.

I loved the book, it became one of my favorites.

Sadly I didn't go into looking for more of Peirce's books till I got to Oly. Where i hunted down the author, cause I remebered the book and wanted to reread it.

I then found other books about the same realm and area by the author, and found out that there were three series out about Tortall (the realm/kingdom,)

I read what I could and was still drawn in each time.

The first book was about Allana, who traded placed with her twin brother and pretened to be a boy to become a Knight, even though girls didn't become knights. I watched her struggle through each book, going through relationships and people finding out her secrets and having the gods fuck with her life. She ended up getting her shield, marring the rouge of the kingdom and becoming the king's champion. (Who at one time was once her lover, and he wanted to marry her.)

(FYI, the gods in the series make me laugh. I love them so much.)

Then, the next series was about Daine, a girl who never knew her father but was gifted with Wildmagic, which allowed her to talk to animals and make them 'two-legger' smart. She learned to change her body into that of an animal and got involved with the immortal war, which the barries that had once held all the immortal creatures, like stormwings, griffins, cenatours, merfolk and everything vanished and they came back to the realm. You learned to love Kitten, or Skysong, a baby dragon she was given to gaurd after the mother died. She came face to face with the gods, yelling at them, finding out she was also half god when she meets her father who was the god of the hunt. (who was awesome, only wore a loin cloth, awesome body from what a read....and had fucking antlers. )

and now I just got done reading the last book to the Protector of the small quartet series. The one of Kel, who became the first known girl to try to be a knight. She had no magic like the last two girls, and in this time, you see Allana who is now in her late 30's, when you read about Allana it was from her years of 10-18ish....Actually all the books are like that you grow with the characters, each book series is in a set of four and spands over 8 years about.

I know there are 3 other books for the tortall realm.

The Tricksters series which is at two books and I've read them both. It's about Alle, one of Alanna's daughters who takes after her father...ALOT. I remember I fell in love with the crow man. :3 He totally won my heart...well so did George the thief and Numair the mage.
Then one I havn't read called Beka Cooper. Which is about Beka waaaaaaay before Allana's time...but here is the deal...Allana's husbands last name is Cooper. Which makes me think...and from what I hear she's kinda rouge, like George is. (Allana's husband.)

She had other books, but not about the realm, which I shall read sometime latter.

God, I can't stop buying her books. @___@ 33333 They captivate me so~

Next to buy;

Trickster's Choice (Daughter of the Lioness Book 1)
Trickster's Queen (Daughter of the Lioness, Book 2)
Terrier (The Legend of Beka Cooper, Book 1)

After that, I'll buy the circle of magic series, and that vampire one I saw. But I want to own ALL of her books. I can't stop reading anf loving them.

These books make me think, mainly on my morals and judgement and how to act around people. I get more level headed after reading about what these woman go through.

I like that I get an inner strength from these books, but they also remind me how weak I am, and I do see where my own weak points are after some of the girls go through something like I have....emotionally that is. :/ I havn't fought no creatures or know how to use a weapon sadly, though they do make me want to pick it up and learn it. ^^

Hell after reading Kel's story I actually like more of the commander, tactics kinda thing, which is something I have no intrest in.

It's 2:39AM now, starving, but living and kinda tired.

Mike is passed out. I was suprised I'm staying up late while he isn't, it's the other way around when I am over. I pass out first and he stays up till dawn.

Imma off to play Harvest moon now....not exactly tired yet.

and OOOOOO cookie for whoever gets these pictures~

OH~ Those made me laugh. X3 Cause they are VERY funny if you get them.

:3 I love the first one alot, cause I love the Darkings~ I want one. D:
