We all know that windows has a lot of viruses, like hundreds of thousands if not more. And we all know mac has alot less. And then theres linux which alot of us know less about, which actually has less then mac.

But thats not my point. My youtube account just got hacked so it kinda got me thinking.

Theres really 3 levels of hacker type things.

3) Scripters: most sites hacks, done mostly by stupid teenagers who think hacking things is cool
2) Local: anything like trojans or something you download and install, done by more professional coders.
1) I dont think this level really has a name its just the best of the best, the people who get paid to hack computers by one company attacking another. These people are like the mafia of the internet.

Now Level 3 can hit anyone on any OS cause its just normally simple JS shit that isnt important.

Level 2 is primarily Windows and Mac, Linux has very few viruses like this

Then level 1 which linux dominates.

Lvl 1 is what I am mainly talking about.

For the home user linux is the most secure option.

But for servers, big servers, banks and shit. Linux is bad. Because of these level 1 hackers. Linux is unsecure.

As I said these peoples are pros, they are not the geeks in there bedrooms, these are not teenage boys who are bored. They are as I said basically the computer mafia.

I'm not going to say these people arn't smart, I mean they really are geniuses, but they are dumb in the sense that they apply there skills to stupid things.

And as I said earlier for the home user linux is a great option.

For servers not so much, but currently linux controls the server "market".

This is why as a home user I prefer linux.

Linus Torvalds, the founder of linux, is so paranoid about these pros that he can only check his email on his desktop pc, in his house, with multiple passwords. It can not be checked anywhere else.

But he is not the average user he is well the worlds smartest man (in my opinion) and he has reason to be paranoid.

So what I'm trying to say is, for you linux is good, but then ago truthfully so it windows or mac.

For little servers (like my site) linux is fine

for banks, the feds, and everyone else who matters linux is not a good option
