Okay, this is regarding Mirror/Mirror, the remake of Humans. I'm trying to decide for sure which way to finish it. As cool as the lines themselves look, I wanna do something more to it- tones, color, shading, or something. But these things take more and more time to do, so I'd like to hear your opinions.

Here's a sample of the linework... Page 12.

I'm doing the lines in Manga Studio, same program I did Atlantis U in, because of the lovely line smoothing and the convenient comic-oriented interface.

Here's page 12 done in screentones, like I did with Atlantis U.

Just slightly better than pure black and white. Making screentones for this page took 26 minutes.

Here it is in basic color...

Basic color took 36 minutes.

Here it is with cell shading.

Cell shading + basic color took 1 hour 8 minutes.

Now, I could've gone a step further and did full soft shading and ambient lighting like I used to do for Humans, but I don't even wanna think about how much time that would take.

So! How much quality do you think I should sacrifice in the name of speedy production?

I actually think the screen tones one looks best.
