Hullo

Yeah so... yesterday, I went to Zoe's house in Malden... was supposed to be more people there, since her parents are away for the week... but ended up just being me, her, Marina, and Zoe's cousin Allison. Still was good. We passed a joint around next to this cop's house Then attempted a milky w/ an old Gatorade bottle... kinda sucky but s'okay... we breezed right through our stash at any rate. Then Zoe said we had to leave since her aunt was going to be home soon... and it was kind of an adventure and a half trying to find our way back to her house, being kinda stoned AND having to remember ten billion winding little sidestreets o.o Eventually we got there... w/ the help of a bunch of mailmen We went in and drank a ton of water and took some granola bars... the wind kept blowing the door open though and it scared the holy jesus out of us... when we first got there earlier in the day, we had barely stepped inside when Zoe's aunt stormed in and was being such a megabitch; "ZOE, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING? WHO'S IN HERE WITH YOU?!" We were stealthy... we took off our shoes and hid upstairs... we was liek sekrit ajentz. But yeah, since we didnt want another scenario like that, we left, and went to the convenience store for Gatorade (to drink this time) and ice cream.. and we sat on the curb for like an hour, just chillin... and oh god we got a video of this old drunk male stripper... 'round 4 we went back to Zoe's house and sat on her porch, waiting to get picked up. Back at home...

I called Kate and told her I was home way earlier than expected, and if she still wouldn't mind if I tagged along for the fireworks. Sooo i walked over to her house, finally gave my legs a rest, and after we'd eaten we headed down to the park where the fireworks are. As soon as we got there it started raining & thundering, but we'd met up w/ Amber and Mary and such and headed back to Amber's house (like... two feet away) and sheltered there until the sky stopped pissing. w/ all of us crammed into Amber's room, it was... me, Kate, Kate's cousin Zachary (), Mary, Amber, Josh, Jasmine, Dom, Renee, and BP. Mm. There was lots of wandering in and out and I dont know how many times we went back to the park, then for some reason went back to the house 9.9 Eventually, close to when the fireworks would start, we settled down on a blanket (w/ trash bags underneath) and finally got to sit. And, I have to say, the fireworks this year were pretty lame. And the music selection was too. It was all boring slow/patriotic music... am I the only one who just gets depressed listening to the national anthem and shit like that?

Afterward, I helped carry chairs back to Amber's house, then decided to split... walking to my house by myself, which was kind of a good walk. When I got home, nobody else was @ my house, so I tried to call my mom and dad's cell phones.. only to find they were both in the house 9.9 So, frustrated, I changed into pajamas, took the dogs out, and sat down to write a couple venomous notes for them, then went to bed Ugh, but I woke up so late this morning x.x 12... some of you mofos may be saying, "oh, I wake up at noon on a regular basis"... well, I don't, I hate waking up late actually, even if I don't sleep until 2... I prefer to wake up around 8... otherwise I just feel like my morning was wasted :/ meh.

I went downstairs and my parents were just coming home w/ tons of foodstuffs from BJ's. I had a derricious brownie for breakfast while i talked to my mommy n daddy... my mom asked how I got home last night, and I was like "Uh.. I walked?" And then she got all concerned that i walked through town by myself on such a "dangerous night" 9.9 Jesus, Danvers ISN'T dangerous. Ever. We're probably the safest, quietest town in the area. Not to mention, i can take care of myself anyway... maybe my mother just thinks it's so bad and scary on the streets these days because she's old and she grew up in a different 'era'... but I happen to know what I'm doing, considering i grew up in this town and know perfectly well how to interact (or ignore) them 'young punks' you see these days... I probably even AM one. *eyeroll*

on a GOOD note though, my uncle Ken hath given me an iPod shuffle He works in the computer biz.. and I guess gets a lot of stuff for free/discounted... and he had an extra one he didn't know what to do w/, so he was all, *happy early birthday/christmas/whatever!* s'nice.

I don't know what I'm doing for the rest of the day.. hopefully nothing... I'm sore all over from all the walking i did yesterday x.x But I might go out and buy new pants, since I don't really have any nice pairs to wear for Lauren's bachelorette party tomorrow night...

Oh yeah, and I've been meaning to write for a few days, we found out what's been ailing lil Henry! He has Cushing's disease :< He got tested at the vet's and, yeah. He displays the symptoms almost to a T. He has a firm lil potbelly; he drinks water excessively and urinates in large amounts; he has diarrhea a lot (in fact, normal stool is kinda uncommon for him); symmetrical hair loss (the base of his ears, his elbows, knees, and a little on his sides/belly, are hairless); and the headtilt, we now know, is probably a tumor on the pituitary gland, which is also what can cause Cushing's.

But he's still a jolly little pup, and it doesn't slow him down at all. It really just fucks w/ his metabolism I guess... Doc gave us some information on how to medicate him, but, the medication is really dangerous :/ It can go either way, helping them out or... causing complications, and being fatal... Julia told my mom though that a lot of people w/ Cushing's-affected dogs choose not to treat them, or to wait if it progresses past normal, non-threatening symptoms. We decided not to treat him for it for now. If we put him on the medication it'll be after my sisters wedding. I agree w/ my mother, that I don't want to start him on such an apparently dangerous treatment if he's living a good, happy life right now anyway; I'd rather wait until it's absolutely necessary for his health before we possibly kill him -.-

Mm... my poor doggy... :/

...

So i guess that's all. And FYI, I *am* working on art trades, in fact I just sketched/inked a couple the other night... and I'm hoping to color soon :3

Lark Pash Says:

Cushings disease is not a good disease...well, none are. Expect the dog to always have bad skin problems and to easily get sores on him, especially sores that tend not to heal. We had a really old lhasa apaso dog (sp?) who ended up having cushings disease and the thing we noticed first before we did bloodwork were the scabs and the pot belly.

And yah for the iPod! I never used mine until recently when I got an adapter so I can use it in the car.
