I'm currently engrossed in working on a comic with ~nikkidom and so the flow of art is going to stop very soon since I am almost out of old things to post. I won't be abandoning my MCR/Music related art, or the contests and gifts I have planned to take care of in the last few months. If you're still waiting for stuff, I'm sorry, I haven't forgotten you I just really need to do something I want to do before I get to other people, I know it's a little selfish, but making so many promises to people was starting to kill my desire to draw. So... that was off topic, but anyway.
The comic is called Haunted and it takes place in a hotel owned by two girls, Nikki and Talia who are obviously based around the artists. This hotel is no ordinary hotel, it is in fact a hotel that stages hauntings as a gimmick to get people to visit. They also do themed events such as vampires and zombies, which would take place just as a role playing of a murder mystery would.
I have no art for it to post yet, I've spent most of my days planning, practicing guitar, and storyboarding like a mad woman. I'm hoping that we'll have the comic up as of... July, maybe mid July to be safe, but we're on a roll and it's going really smoothly so far so we'll see. We haven't decided if we're housing it on dA yet or if we're going to make a site for it. For sure it will be on MangaBullet. And of course, I'm sure we'll post pages of it on dA and provide anyone who wants to read with links. Please, if you're interested, just tell me, I'd love to talk about it lol. And so would Nikki! Go check her out, she's a great artist, and I've known her for many years. She was one of my first internet friends back when we were Zelda nerds (...not that that's changed much.)
Hmm. And in other news. Here in NJ, on Saturday, I was driving down Rt. 36 towards home from going to dinner with my sister. My brother was in the car with me, and I pity him heh. Suddenly it started to rain, then it started to pour. It was about nine at night, and suddenly it was raining so hard I could no longer see. I kept trying to navigate the road, since there was little else I could do. I figured changing lanes to try and pull over was more dangerous then just following the headlights in front of me. Suddenly... I was in 2 1/2 feet of water, driving. I didn't know what to do, I definitely knew I couldn't just stop. I figured if the engine died or I decided to break I'd like just float away. I couldn't believe the rain water built up as fast as it did. I've never experienced a flash flood before, and I never thought I would seeing as they're pretty rare in Jersey, in this area at least. I drove in and out of the water for 20 minutes. There are no other paths to my home, I unfortunately live off of that particular flooded one. I was very lucky the truck didn't float away and that I didn't stall out or crash. Needless to say, the experience left me rather shaken.
I know people are suffering all over the country now because of all this rain, but I'm not complaining, I just wanted to share my story, because it was an intense experience, and I will never ever insult the SUV again, that's for sure. If I had been in the midsize car I would've been in real trouble. lol.
Oh and for all those who keep asking how guitar goes... I'm learning a Green Day song right now, and for the first time today it actually sounded like Green Day.
Now I'm going to go back to brooding under the depression cloud that constantly hangs over me and this random mystery illness o_o. Sorry for being so long winded.
