Who would win? Old Solid Snake or Old Indiana Jones? I can't decide. I mean, Snake's a fighting machine and has a ton of weapons, but Indy is clever and can outwit anyone (he outwitted an entire army.) I'm kinda stumped. I kinda want to say SS, but then again, it all comes down to Indy still being able to outmaneuver his opponents and utilize his surroundings to his advantage. Hmmmmm....

I think snake would definitely win. True, Indy has a PhD and a lot of environmental awareness. But more or less all of the enemies and foes that Indy has outwitted were hired hands or low level soldiers.
Snake has years upon years of military knowledge and fighting experience that Indy can't really keep up with. :[ Snake's CQC skills alone would probably be enough to disarm any weapon Indy could have access to. That and the fact that snake has a plethora of weapons that outdate any of Indy's at his disposal.
There's also the fact that at thanks to nanomachies, at any one time, snake has access to all kinds of informational backup through Otacon, Col. Campbell, , etc. where as Indy doesn't even have access to a cellphone. :<
True, Indy survived the wrath of God himself (ark of the covenant) but Snake single handedly prevented 2 nuclear holocausts as they were seconds away from from taking place.
You can take their levels of stealth into account, but I think they both do enough sneaking around to roughly cancel each other out. It all depends if Old Snake has that active camo on or not.

Just maybe Snake's main weakness is a giant rock, we haven't seen any runaway boulders in MGS games.

I can't really say cause both men have escaped unbelievable odds. So it's a tie.
