So my ipod was stolen on Saturday. I had taken it to work, and stuck it in my purse when I came home. After accidentally leaving it in my mom's car overnight, someone came, busted in the window, and stole my purse.

I should be grateful, since my ipod was the only thing in the purse as opposed to my wallet/phone/sketchbook/markers/house keys/things that are normally in my purse, but I don't feel any better about it =/

The "good" news is that I still had the serial number to the ipod on hand, since I never throw anything away. Apple can track the ipod when it's plugged into the system, so if they sell the ipod and someone tries to register it, Apple will know it's stolen.

The other good news is that my ipod wasn't the only thing stolen that night. They stole another ipod from across the street, and a laptop from the bottom of the hill. Turns out that laptop is property of Boeing, and not only is stealing it a federal offense, but it also has a tracking device on it :3

I probably won't get my ipod back, but homeowners insurance is supposedly going to cover it's value. I'll have to buy a new one (a bigger, better one?), and I'll be music-less for awhile... But I guess it could have been a lot worse. The hardest part is how quiet it is.

I have all my music on my laptop, but it's a pain to carry that around everywhere D: I have it sitting on the table, playing music now, but I'll have to lug it into whatever room I go into.

My stereo is busted, so I can't even listen to CDs. Which blows.

I feel rather uninspired without my ipod lol. I guess music has been my crutch, and now I have to stand by myself. It's weird, and oddly unsettling, but I think I'll survive. I just don't know how much art I'll be able to get done without it.

I've fallen in love with Coldplay's new song "Violet Hill". I've always loved Coldplay, but this song is just... it's so great. I've listened to it like 20 times since I've gotten up. Unfortunately, to enjoy it, I have to carry that damn computer around. I miss mobility. I miss spontaneity. I feel... oddly constrained D:

D= that sucks, I know how you feel to be musicless for a bit. Music is so inspirational. A couple days ago my zune broke (actually it was stuch on hold ) and I felt horrible without my music. Well I'm glad thats nothing too important got stolen.

are you serious..??
that happened to us, except that it was GPS instead of ipod.
im glad that everything else is safe, though.
but i think that you're really positive.
if someone stole my ipod, i'd never feel better. i guess it's more like hating
the person who stole it, than being sad for my ipod.
oh and i use my laptop to listen to music, too.
it works pretty well, but the thing is my laptop can only last 3 minutes w/o its
charger. (cuz it's so old)
anyways, i really really hope that the thief would be caught soon and put into
jail. (or somewhere along those lines.)
