Yesterday after my horseback-riding lessons, I was grooming the horse and these two girls in front of me were talking about a show they were going to (the next day). Then one of the girls spotted something pink on the floor near the wheelbarrow.

It was a newborn baby bird that had fallen out of its nest. It was really small (think staedler eraser small) still featherless and It's eyes were still closed over with a layer of flesh D:

We thought it was dead... UNTIL IT MOVED. Sometimes it opened its mouth. The two girls decided they didn't want it to suffer so they had to take it outside to kill it (or get someone to kill it.) So they tried to slowly flip the thing over onto a small, garden-shovel type thing so they could take it out to the fearless hay guy who could kill it. But when they flipped it, only the body flipped over. They thought they broke its neck o.o"

but one girl said that "it's just floppy" so then they decided to get someone else to put the bird on the mini-shovel.

By this time I had put away my horse, so I took the mini-shovel and used a hoof-pick to roll the brid onto the shovel. The girls came back in, this time with two more girls with them.

One girl saw the bird and said " How'd that happen, did it fall out of an EGG or something?" So then all of us went out to the hay man and told him about our problem. He agreed and then took the baby bird in his BARE HANDS and THREW it in front of a bale of hay. We were all like "D:" so we turned away and left and went back to whatever we were previously doing.

Then I had to go home to get changed so I could go for my art lessons.
